    Real advice on pipes....

I am ready to buy a new pipe for my 06 CRF 250x and have pretty much narrowed it down to either the Pro Circuit Ti-4 full Titanium header and exhaust (about $765.00) and the Dr. D SS pipe and header (about $475.00). Let me know if you have either of these and what your comments are. thanks.

    FMF factory 4.1 vs MRD

I have a 250x and yes I know I'm in the 450 forum but I just wanted to chime in on the mrd-pipe note. My mrd-pipe came yesterday, it looks awesome and is much lighter than stock. It may be a couple of weeks before I get to ride with the pipe installed but I'm sure that I will not be disappointed.

    Real advice on pipes....

that's the Dr. D I am considering.... some folfs have suggested the MRD_racing pipe (mrd-racing.com). Anyone familiar with this pipe? It has a great warranty - if you bend it they replace it....

    Gas Tank Repair

I have a buddy who has a hole in his gas tank that was caused from his two stroke pipe being mashed up against it. A new tank is like $300 and I was hoping someone could suggest a repair method or a product that we could use to make repairs. thanks in advance.

    need help draining radiator fluid

06 250x - I have just intalled the Flatland Radiator guards and now I want to replace the coolant with Engine Ice and I need to know the best way to drain the old fluid out? I know there is suppose to be a drain underneath the water pump but I don't see it.... I see the leak check hole under the water pump and a big "plug" to the left of the pump that would require a very large Allen key to remove.... If this "plug" is actually the drain for the coolant does anyone know what size Allen key it takes? Also, has anyone had any bad experiences using Engine Ice? thanks for all the help
  9. I have been reading the manual and trying to find the answers I need on the web to no avail. I am trying to find the best way to change the fork oil. I was told at a local shop that I could drain the oil from the shock by simply removing the center bolt from the bottom of each shock while it was still assembled on the bike, allow the oil to drain from the bottom of the shock assembly and refill thru the air bleeder valve.... I have some seal savers to put on anyway so I think I will go ahead and take the forks completly off of the bike. Has anyone used a tool other than the fifty dollar lock nut wrench to loosen the fork damper from the outer tube? Am I correct in thinking that once I remove the damper from the outer tube I will have only two peices (damper and outer tube)? I can then drain the oil from the outer tube and replace with new oil? I can't find any clear information on this procedure and any help would be appreciated.

help changing fork oil in CRF250x (2006)

Seti_1, Thanks for offering to help me out and I may take you up on it. I live in Trussville, just East of Birmingham. I have family in Huntsville (Gurley) and I play golf there a couple of times a year. Have you ever been to the Ridge (www.ridgeriding.com) in Springville to ride? If you have been to the Ridge I live about 20 minutes from there. Fortunately I have a good friend who has more experience working on shocks than I do and he is helping me out but I may call on your experience if I/we get stuck on something. thanks again
