  2. I am replacing the fork seals in my son's TTR-125. While driving the seal into place the outside of the seal tore up while driving it into place and damaged the new seal. It appears this happened due to the friction between the seal and the fork wall. Should I lubricate the outside of the seal before driving it into place so it will go in easier? I have been told by my local shop not to do that to ensure it stays into place better but it looks like I'm just destroying new seals driving them in dry. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to best get the seals in place without damaging them. Thanks.
