  1. It takes a little getting used to but you will fall in love with the extra power. I have yet to top mine out....and really don't care to lol. Something else to think about though...maintenance on KTM is more time consuming, parts are more expensive and dealerships are far and few between.
  2. Bought it used and had only one key that my son lost. I don't have the key number either. Can a dealer make a key based on the serial number or should I try a locksmith? -thanks-
  3. I emailed the company about it and the guy said that it is common and to just ride it and the chain will quickly wear a groove into the plastic.
  4. I just put a BBR chain guide on my sons ttr 125le and the master link on the chain is rubbing hard on it when it passes through. Anyone else have this problem? I didn't see any way to adjust it.
  5. <Newbie here> Just got an '01 EXC 400. Don't have a manual for it yet. I was wondering how much tension the chain should have? Lost the bolt that holds front sprocket on first time out. Think I probablly had the chain too tight to begin with. oh, and anyone know where can I order the manual for this bike? -thanks-
  6. I need to buy some OEM bolts, washers, etc for my '01 400. Looking for a good online parts store in the U.S. Any recommendations?
  7. I just installed this one: http://www.trailtech.net/kickstand_1.htm on my '01 EXC 400. Easy install and good fit. Much better than the piece of crap stock stand.
  8. not available for online viewing is what I got with that link. I bought my son a '03 TTR 125LE last spring for his birthday. Didn't look to have many hours on it at all so we just changed the oil cleaned the filter and he rode it all summer. Had a bit of a problem getting it to idle cold but other than that it ran fine. I tried to start it up the other day and it wouldn't turn over. The chain and sprocket are lookin pretty nasty so I thought I'd take it to a local shop for service before the warm months return. I'm slammed with work and don't have time to work on it myself. I was hoping to get a few pointers here before I talk to the shop guy. Basically just want it tuned up and a maybe a new chain and sprocket. Totally in the dark on what it should cost. Any suggestions as to what I need to have done and should expect to pay would be much appreciated. -thanks-
