Re: Colorado Springs Gran Prix Race Series

It was a great event and I had a blast! That was my 1st hole shot ever (row 3) and put a huge smile on my face!!! Thanks to George and DCO for giving us the opportunity to enjoy the RAM facility once again. The electronic scoring worked great! Just like GNCC! Goood stuff! Looking forward to more local races like this. Thanks again George.

Re: Colorado Springs Gran Prix Race Series

I road the course yesterday and it is fantastic! Don't miss your opportunity to ride a private area while you can. Register today! I absolutely love riding at this place because there is something for everyone and the course is not that technical this time around. Options for more challenging lines are open though! And with electronic scoring we get in, and get out before dinner time!!! If only rmec would join the 21st century... Hope to see you all out there and maybe somebody can show me how it's done in vet B! hmmm, any takers??? Big boy race starts at 2p.

Re: Colorado Springs Gran Prix Race Series

Obgod3, I totally agree with you. This was a great race and conducted by George and crew flawlessly. Barely got changed out of my gear after the checkered flag and the afternoon race results were already posted! And I didn't have to get up at O'dark thirty either! The electronic scoring worked well too! Some of the other promoters should take note, in my opinion. I hope there are many more races like this on the front range in the future. Looking forward to the last event in this series at the RAM facility:ride:. Had a blast early this spring there and it's a great layout for spectators. Thanks again George :applause:for putting on such a fun event! Feel free to pm me if you need help with course setup work in the future (provided my schedule is open).

    Denver Endurocross Round

My experience has been that sometimes they provide 1st-come 1st-serve #'s and sometimes they don't. When I looked at the rules it seemed to me that this is only a big deal for the night show and for the pros, but I could be wrong. (That's how it's always been in the past.) There was also something about #'s on jersey/chest protector for pros. I wouldn't sweat it (unless you know he will advance), just bring some white duct tape, black electrical tape, and a razor blade if you're in a pinch. I know folks who have done this many times. I've lucked out in the past and got to use my normal #, which already complies with the rules.

    Denver Endurocross Round

WTW, Thanks for the good luck, I always need it! Good luck to your boy also! Trashed my front & rear fenders attempting to practice this past weekend. A little over the bars action... Got spare plastics, so no worries. Also managed to rag doll myself & tweek my shoulder with a stupid tabletop oopsy... Damn mx jumps (lol), that was a 1st. I'll be fine come saturday. I just focus on having fun at the EX's, I've got nothing to prove to anyone. Perhaps just myself a little. Also really looking forward to saturday!

    Denver Endurocross Round

Here was the vegas opener schedule. I suspect Denver will be very similar. http://www.endurocross.com/race_schedule.htm Yes, free amateur spectating during the morning/early afternoon. Just to pay to park, then sit back and enjoy the glorious CARNAGE! :bonk: I assume the event planning is the same yr as previous yrs. EX is pretty repeatable in that respect. If I find otherwise, I will update this post. I'll be partaking in the carnage, fist hand!

Bump! Hit PPIR after work today. Goood stuff, as always! Looks like there hasn't been much traffic out there lately:excuseme: Some friends are showing interest in the PPIR event.

Re: Colorado Springs Gran Prix Race Series

Unfortunately, I can't make this round (sorry onlead) but I'm planning on the following 2 rounds, for sure! Make those rounds & you will get that rematch! Just rebuilt the top end in the old ktm too:devil: Good luck and have fun this weekend. I look forward to a race report.

Re: Colorado Springs Gran Prix Race Series

A few more questions... 1. So are the adult A/B and C class race durations changed from 2 and 1.5 hrs (respectively) to 1 hr based on the latest update??? 2. What is the start format? Dead engine (on or off the bike)? or mx gate? 3a. Purse payout or trophies or bragging rights or other? 3b. For the series or per event? 4. Will the track configuration be setup the same for practice day and race day? Thanks in advance for any further clarification.

RMEC SnoShoe Enduro - PLEASE READ!

Has anyone got their Snowshoe row # or decline of race entry reg? The rmec site has not been updated? Did I mis a memo or somethin? Just sent an email to Jeff but wondering if everyone else is set for the event.

    Greenridge Enduro, Oak Creek CO

 :moon:   :p I had a blast at this race! Great traction & fun! The EnduroX (EX) section was a delight for me and I do race (attempt to race) EX's. My experience has been that my bikes take just as much a beating trail riding as racing Hare Scrambles (HS), Enduros, and EX. I thought the 'grass track' section was boring and un-inspirational. This was my 3rd rmec race and I have enjoyed them all, minus the formalities of the manual (human) scoring/results system and rider meetings being held at 'O dark-thirty am'. Just my 2 cents. See ya'll in Montrose!

    Las Vegas Endurocross Track

I agree, the evening format is certainly not as profitable as it could be, and many spectators bolt before the main event because it is so late. Considerable time is spent with intro's and other 'half time' activities that the fans could do without, imo. Not to mention family & friends who attend to support their amateur racers are taxed pretty hard to stay all day, from early morning through late evening, with only a short break in the action for dinner. Most of my 'support team' usually do not stay for the evening activities, so more potential revenue is lost. Wish I could have made the trip and witnessed the amazing season opener live but the economy is taking it's toll on my lifestyle. Glad most had a great time and the clips I've seen were awesome, as always.

    Round 1 Amateur Results?

Yeah, it sure would be nice if they kept an electronic record for all us non-pros... Funny how some things never change with this series... My advice is to keep an eye on the wall in the staging area at your future events. They usually tape a paper copy of the outcome on the wall somewhere (at least for the races I've done in the past). If you contact Becky, she might be able to get you the details.
