  1. Nothing wrong with your bike but an older clutch technology. Some of the links mentioned have good explanations about the why. You can usually break them free before starting by putting the bike in gear and rocking it back and forth with the clutch lever in. You will feel when they free up. For me the bike weights to damn much to do that so make sure nothing is right in front of you when you drop it in gear.
