  1. Took the top end off, piston is frozen in the down position. CAnt really tell what went but it is definately lower end, The 2008 motor is $1000 with 20 hours on it.
  2. My son blew his engine this weekend on his 07 CRF250R, I have access to a 2008 engine. Does anyone know if this is a straight fit? or is something different between the years. Thanks for the help
  3. The 135 should be the stock main that came with the bike, I will add the 45 pilot and 40 leak this weekend and leave the 135 main in. I will carry a 130 main and 140 main just in case and give it a try. I will also make the AP mod as described in previous threads on the subject. Thanks for your help.
  4. I just bought my son the CRF150RB for his birthday. I am looking at the jet mods being talked about here. We ride in the California High Desert 3000 foot elevation. Should we use the 130 main, 45 pilot and 40 leak. Thanks for the help.

  6. Does anyone have an idea where to find a used YZ250f engine in good working condition. My sons engine is toast and rebuilding it will be a pain and very costly. Better off using it for spare parts and buying another motor. Also, will a 2004 YZ250f Motor fit in a 2002 YZ250f frame/bike? Thank you for your help
  7. Is it best to start by pulling the whole motor out or just start at the top end and see what it looks like?
  8. Staven, When you took the bike apart what did you find the problem to be (top or bottom)? my sons 2002 YZ250F did the same thing this weekend. Froze up and the kick starter wont move. Bike rolls fine in neutral and all gears with the clutch pulled. Am I looking at a trans problem or the kick start gear. Dumped the oil and it did have a little glitter to it (ouch).
  9. I was thinking the same thing so I removed the base plate on the carb and the floats look fine. There is no binding and they appear to be set properly. It is al,ost like when I turn on the gas on the petcock it just runs right out of the bike. Does the leak jet have anything to do with this?
  10. I just installed the JD jet kit on my sons YZ250f. When I went to start the bike I noticed alot of gas dumping from the relief lines under the bike. Anyone know what could be causing this and what i need to do to fix it. Thanks for the help
