  1. I HAVE A 2005 CRF250X AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS. IT WAS A LITTLE CHOCKED UP FROM THE FACTORY BUT IF YOU OPEN THE EXAUST AND INTAKE AND JET IT IT WILL RUN AWSOME!! I RIDE MINE HARD OUT HERE IN THE WEST AND I HAVE NO PROBLEMS. OCCASIONALY I WANT A LITTLE MORE POWER BUT USUALLY I HAVE FUN, RIDE HARD ALL DAY AND NOT WEAR MYSELF OUT. I CHECK MY VALVES OFTEN BUT I HAVE YET TO ADJUST THEM. YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH THAT BIKE AT THAT PRICE. IT YOU DO NOT WANT IT I WILL BUY IT FOR MY WIFE OR FRIENDS TO GO RIDING WITH ME.
  2. Mine Will Start With The Second Kick Every Time If I Have The Hot Start Lever Pulled. Your Might Try Starting It Like It Is An Old Xr And See If It Will Help. Slowly Rotate The Engine Intell It Comes Up On Compression Stroke (you Will Feel The Kick Starter Get Stiffer). Then Let The Kick Starter Up And Give A Fast Good Full Stroke Kick. I Know This Works Great On The Xr's But I Have Not Tryed It In My 250x. If You Still Have Problems You Might Check Your Jetting. No Matter What Your Bike Should Not Be That Hard To Start.
  3. How Is The New Wc Skid Plate Holing Up. I Have The Old Three Piece Style. With The Seperate Bolt On Gaurds For The Engine. I Like The Looks Of The New One Piece Style. It Looks To Me Like It Will Be Cheaper Than Buying The Three Seperate Peices. Any One Have Good Or Bad Luck With Them?
  4. As Many Times That I Have Crashed My Bike It Is Still In One Piece. I Agree These Bikes Are Tough.
  5. If You Get The Stater Rewound For 130 Watt And Put A 100 Watt Bulb In It. Is There A Dual Filament Bulb That You Can Get And Would It Be Street Legal. I Am Going To Duall Sport My Bike And Would Love To Have Better Light.
  6. My 05x Has Been Rode Hard And I Have Not Had Any Problems. One Minor Adjustment And Thats It. I Don't Know What People Are Talking About Valve Problems. If You Are Woried About Your Valves Or Have Had Problems With Them You Might Think About Looking At Your Riding Style. Don't Keep Your Bike Agaist The Rev Limiter All The Time.
  7. do they make a stage 2 yet all i thought they had for a 250x was a stage 1.
  8. i ride in the sandy soft dirt here out west and i agree that the stock front tire is terrible and should be thrown away. i am looking to replace my front and rear tires. i was wandering if any one has ran the irc soft terrain tires front and rear and what they thought of them.
  9. i do a lot of hard trail riding and i am not afraid to hit the rev limitor. i have had my bike for 1 1/2 years and well over 1000miles. my valve have not needed adjusted and i have not put any maintanence parts into it except for oil and filter. i did have to replace one radiator but that was my falt. these bikes are extremely low mainenance. what kid of bikes are your friends riding?
  10. that would be great thanks. i might also be interested in buying one if you decide to make some to sell.
  11. i usually throw the bike in the back of the truck when i use the truck. the problem is that with a big block i only get about 7mpg. i can not afford to pay for that. i got the bike carrier to use on the back of an old jeep cherokie that i get almost 20mpg. i didn't have it readily available when i took those picturesso i just used my truck. i ran an extra power wire to the back of my rig for power. i don't think that the wires going to the trailer plug in would be heavy enough. if you use it on a vehicle not set up you can use a jumper box they work good.
  12. try droping a gear and not using your brakes so much. they are brakes not speed limitors.
  13. do you have any better pictures? it is hard to see with the dark lighting and everything in the back ground. i would love to see a better picture and learn more about how it works and if it is worth the time and effort.
  14. hey i think i got the pictures on line so you can see my set up. go to msnusers.com/dirtbikecrf250x let me know if it works. if you look at it and see the little square holes. they are for 1 inch square tubing with eyes on the end for tie downs. i have several in different legths for different ways and places to tie your bike down. one bike might tie down different than another. this setup works great if you ever have to haul a street bike. street bikes are heavy and this will do all the work for you.
  15. I Will Take A Picture And See If I Can Figure Out How To Post It. I Just Got A New Camera So Be Patient I Will Try.
