    someone help - jumping

Jumping is easy to start out with. Don't try whipping, seat bouncing, etc. yet just ride up to the jump face at a steady speed and grip the bike with your knees while standing. Keep your body centered over the bike and off you go. Start out slow until you get the hang of what the bike will do in the air. Try to land with the back tire hitting the ground first (especially on flat landings) and stay on the gas. As you advance jumpng you can position the bike in the air with the rear brake and throttle. If the front end is dipping give it a little throttle to straighten the bike out and if the front end is lifting tap the rear brake to bring the front end down and even out. Start out slow and work your way up. Jumping is fun but can also be dangerous so work at it at your own pace and be safe.

What MX Boot should I get?

I love my Fox F3's ($199.00) they break in easy and very comfortable

    boot question

Remember also they never fit perfect when they are new. You are looking at some quality boots so I am sure any pair once broken in would be a great fit for you.

Took a swim with my bike today!

I never understood the fun of Water Crossing and risk drowning a bike. A 2008 YZ450F cost a pretty penny for most of us and you ride it through waist high puddles. Just makes no sense to me but to each his own I guess.

    My Season is Over

Hard to tell exactly how it started. I was diagnosed 2 yeas ago but it was not nearly as bad as today and went away for the last two years. I think it is just from years of abuse. I am not one to shy away from the fun things in life even if there are consequences. Anyway, i was skiing at the end of January and hit a mogul the wrong way and felt a pop and it just got worse from there. So here I am laying on the floor taking pain meds and trying to work. Unfortunately, i do have to sell the bike and a gear for now but i look at the bright side: My next bike will be fuel injected and may resemble a rocket ship!!!! Thanks for all the support.

    Truing Wheels

For me I ussually pay the $30.00 to have a pro true my wheels. lacing wheels is not easy and when torqueing/tightening spokes don't just go one by one. There is actually a method. Remember everything on a bike has to be done in a certain order otherwise you make more work for yourself or risk even more damage. I would bring your wheel to a local MX shop and see if they have anyone that can help you.

    My Season is Over

Well it is with regret I am out of the MX Circuit for a while. I have herniated disks at L5 and S1 which is causing dibilitating Sciatica in my left leg. Doc says riding is just not even an option this year and maybe the next few tears. I will be going for two rounds of cortizon shots in the next few weeks to try and bring the swelling down as much as possible and if that does not work surgery may be the ony option. Spring is always an exciting time to start thinking about getting out on the track so it sucks to now have to think about selling off all the things i love related to MX. To everyone, please take care of your back and have a safe season. I will be back one day!!!!!!

Tired of Windham RM Mid Bend on '06 YZ450F

    Sorry everyone wrong thread.
  13. I am 6 feet tall and went with the Pro Taper RM Mid on my 06 450 and now I think they are to tall. I am an aggressive novice (top 3) at 6' 190 and I think I need a lower bar. These bars are great when standing but I find they are difficult to control when seated. Has anyone ridden with the RM Mid and changed to a lower bar? If so what did you go with? I am looking for a step or two down and any recommendations on sweep is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I do not have the option to test them all so i am looking for some advice. Thanks....
