  1. scott2424,did you get a title with yours,or start with no paper work.i paid 65 bucks for the paperwork on my jet bobcat200 ,and they sent me a title signed.i just have to go put it in my name.the title says motorcycle as vehicle type instead of off highway.its got all the street stuff.i'm just worried if i register it and they cant plate it,it'll be too late to change it.
  2. emeded,i havent been to dmv yet,i should go today.but i loaded the 200 up with our other bikes sunday to see what it can take.it actually took small woops and sweeping burms well.but on my 426, i fly through everything without having to worry .so i hit a couple of good holes that i saw coming and said,oh craaaap and held on tight for a pretty good bottom out.after riding it for about 10 min,the foot peg mounts bent down somewhat.i'll have to get out the welder and reenforce em. whenever i rolled off the gas i thought it stalled because the engine is so quiet.other than the footpegs, the thing is a blast to fly down dirt roads or on a (mild) trail.you just cant treat it like a full race bike. but, it did handle the desert better than my honda xl which weighed over 300+.and nothing broke off.
  3. has anybody got their title yet? does it say off highway or motorcycle?
  4. emeded, i think it all depends on the company selling the bikes as to what the status will be for reg.
  5. i just got the title and is signed over to me and i noticed that it says motorcycle at the top instead of off highway. body type is EN maybe for enduro and class AF .? does it look plate-able?
  6. emeded, they took the vin# and said they will send me a green sticker.i'm kinda not getting my hopes up about a licence plate but i may cruise it around on the street anyway for a while and watch for cops.i'll probably wait formy registeration then see what i can do. it,s got everything but a steel tank .right now i'm gonna go on some cali sites and check out for regist updates.i heard they may bring back the dirt bike on the street law.
  7. the bobcat looks like an xr with yamaha 426 side plates.it even has the red/black seat.the battery box is in a metal bracket just like my old xl 600.it revs at7000 rpm at 50 but the motor seems to like it.besides the redline is 11000.the chain was also tight but i took it around the block and did some burm type roosting and it loosened up perfectly.there is a clack when i turn it off. it sounds like the starter disengaging.no noise while running.anybody else have that clack when turned off?
  8. got my jet 200cc bobcat today.i'll explain more if i figure this posting out.
