  1. supermoto37@hotmail.com wanting to purchase a stock seat for a 2005 yellow DR-Z400SMK5 I am located in Kitchener, Ontario also looking for stock tail light/turn signals/front caliper and master cylinder/complete speedo assy. mine was a theft recovery and is missing these pieces. THANKS!
  2. Howdy Just finished a Supermoto track day at Mosport, Ontario a week ago. Only takes a couple of hours to switch from Street Hooligan to Track Warrior. It started life as a 2002 DR-Z400S. And as always, thanks to Eddie for making the jetting spot on! (The 2006 E model in the back ground is stock....so far) TW 1 TW2 TW3 SH1 SH2 SH3
  3. Howdy, Trying to find rear axle sliders for my DR-Z400SK2 (2002) and I will need front axle sliders for a 2003 RM250 as that is the front end that is on it. I searched the DR-Z400 forum and all that came up was old stuff that the links or pictures would not work anymore. I don't want to use skate board wheels either. Looking for the real thing..... Anyone out there that can steer me in the right direction?
  4. I have them on mine. They work OK. I use my "E" model for off road that way I don't have to crash my "S" model in this pic. My "S"
  5. Yes I did. It if fine. No holes, splits, tears or other.
  6. I have a '02 DR-Z400S with Yosh RS-3 Comp slip on, K&N filter, DJ stage 1 kit and all jetting as per Eddie (Burned). 142.5 MAIN 25 PILOT DJ Needle 4th clip air screw out about 3 turns It runs absolutely perfect (thanks to Eddie who save me hours of trying to figure it out on my own) but, only when I leave the petcock on prime. If I put it to ON or RESERVE it wil sputter and die at idle. Is this normal? Probably not too much of a problem other than the runing out of gas part. Good thing it is easy to push!
  7. Howdy, I sent you a private message with some details. I also live in Kitchener with a GPS hooked up to my home built Supermoto. If you want we can hook up on the Expressway and I can tell you your exact speed. Chow
  8. 2002 DR-Z400S sort of
  9. DR-Z400E vs. DR-Z400S/SM Battery Problems I realize this is an old thread but I just had to give my observation from first hand experience. I had a 2001 DR-Z400E until last September and replaced it with a 2006 DR-Z400E then. The 2001 had the original battery and other than use a Yusa battery tender in the winter months only (Dec to Mar) it never let me down or ever had to be charged. My 2006 which was set-up last September did not even get the battery tender treatment this winter and it fires right up. I also own a 2002 DR-Z400S, and I know many that own S models and SM models as well. Let me tell you.....the battery tender is a must almost all the time because of the constant voltage draw. It is not just the stock speedo either as I have taken mine off and put on an Endurance unit. Now, on it's 3rd battery I have learened my lesson. The batteries that come stock on the E model, S & SM models are the same but the outcome will be different if you don't use a battery tender all the time on the S & SM models. This is the highest warrantied battery of any model sold by Suzuki. Perhaps Burned or someone else can isolate the actual root of the constant discharge on S & SM models. As I stated before it has to be more that just the stock speedo.
  10. All this thieving really sucks. I realize this is not a thumper story but on Sunday night/Monday morning one of our Road Racing Team members (Clint McBain) had the entire trailer with bikes and all equipment stolen from a hotel parking lot in Vegas. Anyway, if you check out the attached link at cdnsuperbike.com you can see what was taken. Please keep an eye out for this stuff as most is a one of a kind. Let's all work to get the bad guys! Thanks (Mark - Suzuki Canada Inc) http://www.cdnsuperbike.com/news/06/032206a.shtml Vegas is only about 250 miles away from Phoenix so maybe this father and son team was involved. See story below. http://www.kpho.com/Global/story.asp?S=4663794&nav=23Ku "Dad and son busted for alleged cycle thefts PHOENIX A father and son team has been busted for allegedly stealing dozens of motorcycles across the Valley. After a six-month investigation, D-P-S says it recovered more than a quarter of a (m) million dollars in stolen motorcycles. Authorities say they recovered 25 stolen motorcycles along with stolen cycle trailers. Detectives are spread out over four other locations right now, actively working to identify motorcycles and parts of motorcycles. Search warrants were served at five different locations. The suspects, Ray and Steve Himmer are now behind bars, facing numerous charges."
  11. I sure hope they get their SMs back. All this thieving really sucks. 12. Actually the enduro model and supermoto model listed on their site is put together by Suzuki Belgium. Suzuki Belgium is an independent distributor and not owned by Suzuki Motor Corporation. These 2 models are not built by SMC in Japan. I work for Suzuki Canada which is 100% owned by SMC in Japan and not independent like Belgium.
  13. Actually it was on display at the Milan, Italy show back in September. You can check it out at> http://www.17pouces.net/article_avec_doc.php3?id_article=98 There is a Suzuki dealer in Kamloops BC that rewinds RM-Z stator assemblies and installs a lighting coil. That is all you need to make your own. Rivercity Cycle Ltd. 250-377-4320 ask for Tom.
