I've got the extended fuel screw and 3x3 done already. Will have to look into the JD kit. Thanks!

Eddie. That's a very good point that I thought about and will check. I was very careful and checked the fiche to make sure I was putting them back correctly. Anyone have a what goes where diagram that is simpler than straining my eyes at the fiche?

Thanks again Noble. The needle was secured, but had some play or wiggle, which I think is normal? Looks like I'll have to pull the carb again! What a pain that is. Actually, the pulling was OK, it was the putting that had me growling.

Didn't see any cracks in the diaphram. Definitely put the little o-ring back in. When you say needle restrained, what do you mean? Is it possible I routed the non-fuel hose from the petcock incorrectly? Thanks!
  6. Hi folks, My 2006 DRZ-400S was running great until I let it sit for way too long (sound familiar?). Carbs got gummed up. Petcock was shot. I dumped the old gas, cleaned the tank well, installed a brand new petcock. I also pulled the carb, took it apart and cleaned all the jets, passages, etc. I pulled the TPS off, but didn't note the orientation on reinstallation. Bike starts now and idles smoothly. It revs high with the choke, but it did that before. It will rev slightly when the throttle is cracked a few degrees, but as soon as I open the throttle more than a bit, it bogs and then revs, bogs, revs, etc. Where do I go from here? What did I miss? Is the TPS an issue? I tried running it with the TPS removed also and it didn't make any difference. Thanks for any and all help!
  7. I'm thinking of getting a Toyota Tacoma Double Cab w/the standard bed length of 5 feet. Am I going to have any trouble hauling the DRZ with it? Thanks!

my bike stalls with a loud "clank"

I've got a '06 S with 1k on it and I've found that it will sometimes stall when I crack the throttle from idle. It also makes the clank / whirrr sound when that happens. I assumed it was normal being a new bike and all. By the way, the "whirrr" sound is the same sound that I get if I tap the starter button and release before the engine fires up. Should I be worried also. I've sort of fixed the stall issue by adjusting the air / fuel and idle speed. Mods: full Yosh 3x3 DJ kit MCCT

    Foot pegs

I asked this on another thread, but this one seems more in line with my question. What is the IMS part number? I couldn't find one in either the Tucker Rocky or TT Store.

    IMS footpeg question

Sorry if I'm hijacking a bit, but what is the part number. I looked in Tucker Rocky and TT Store and I didn't see one for the 400s. If they don't make one, what's a good peg for the S?

Isn't gas gonna come pouring out....

These things are lifesavers! I got mine at the local Kragen for like $12 bucks with assorted bits. Just make sure you have it set to loosen (if that's what you're doing). I've made extra work for myself a couple of times by having it set to tighten.

DRZ tool kit stolen and my rain gear!

Sorry to hear that. I think I tossed my stock stuff. What about using the "opportunity" to spring for a new rear rack and an aftermarket tool set to bolt onto it? Will insurance reimburse you or is the deductible too high? Again...sorry...sucks to have stuff taken. You want to just live and let live...but it's the dirtbags that mess it up.

Does this seem fishy to anyone

Same here. Piece of crap that I couldn't get to work.

    Quick Clarke 3.9 Question

Thanks guys. The case guards stay on...for now. It probably doesn't matter then. I'll just go for best fit and most secure.
