  1. Motorcycle Hall of Famer Chuck Sun and I rode Langille Peak Trail #259 on Thursday 6/11. We both left our MSR fanny packs on the trail by mistake by the one "main" creek crossing as we had to lift bikes over some large trees. Another buddy and I rode it again Saturday 6/13 and cut out ALL the trees but somebody beat us to the tool belts. PLEASE help Chuck and I get our years worth of tools back. Thanks and ride safe. cheeseberger aka Colby

  3. I have owned 5 04-08 bergs, and still own 2 of them. I sold my 2004 Fe550 to my buddy with over 10,000 miles on it. All I did was replace a cam chain in the motor due to wear, not failure. He put about 5,000 more miles on it before a valve spring broke. My 07 650 has over 6,000 on it. I've put about 25,000 miles on my 5 bergs and NEVER had a failure. They kick ass, and NO bike on the planet has the GRIN factor of a HUSABERG 650. cheeseberger
  4. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the early to mid nineties HUSABERG FC501. This 500cc four stroke could holeshot Cr500's and KX500's. I bet a KTM 505 SXF would give a Cr 500 a run for the money as well. cheeseberger
  5. Hey there Velo. Why the new identity? Have a blast in Moab/Green River. Rode there a ton last spring. Packing for Baja as we speak. 3+weeks of surfing and riding. Only taking 1 Berg, my 07 FE650. Put 5,000 miles on it in 7 months and still havn't adjusted the valves. cheeseberger
  6. I have an 04 FE550 with over 10,000 miles and 400 hours. Only replaced a cam chain and a couple seals. Change the oil every 1-3 rides. cheeseberger
  7. myself and 2 others raced/rode a 2004 fe650e in the last baja awesome bike no problems. sold it with 3300 miles and did nothing but adjust the valves a few times (30min) and change the oil and air filter often. also have a 2004 fe550e with 6000 miles on it and i just put in a new timing chain (25$) nothing broke or failed it was just time. cheeseberger
  8. are you in gunnison? buy the 550. it is so easy to ride even on tight trails. the power is sooooo controlable. i live in crested butte and ride a 2004 550 and love it. selling the ktm 525 as the berg is better everywhere. lets ride, i go almost every day lately. good luck. cheeseberger
  9. i have a new 2004 fe 550 and was having all kinds of boil over problems too. finally found out that there was a slight imperfection in the radiator where the cap sat, a little hump. tapped it down with a 1/4" socket drive and also put on a late model ktm cap. problem solved. good luck cheeseberger
