    Help ID Exhaust

I just bought an 2004 WR250 for my son. I am the third owner, according to the second owner, the first owner (did you follow all of that?) put an FMF exhaust on the bike. I need to buy a spark arrester but I'm not sure if this is an FMF exhaust. Can you guys take a look at the picture and give me your opinion about what exhaust I have. There is some writing on the tire side of the pipe but that says the exhaust is for closed course riding.... The exhaust has rivets on both ends. Hope that helps you ID this exhaust. Thanks for your help

02 ttr 125 rear hub keeps breaking Help!!!

Thanks for the info guys. I bought this bike used and it was probably ridden harder than it should have been. I just ordered new parts for the bike and should have it up and running for the remainder of the season.

02 ttr 125 rear hub keeps breaking Help!!!

Did you find a solution to your Hub problem? My son has a 2001 TTR125L and the rear hub just broke. According to BBR the 2000-2001 hubs are weaker. The part number for a 2000-01 hub is different than the part number for the 2002 and higher hub. I don't have a lot of faith in the 02 hub is yours has broken twice. If you found a solution please let me know. Thanks

  9. LTK300, Thanks for adding more pictures.
  10. Thanks for asking. This is the first time that I have broken my ribs. It can be uncomfortable at times but I have some good med's. I'm on vacation until the 3rd of November. If I don't feel better after that I'll have to use some sick days.
  11. Hi guys John thanks for the great ride it was an adventure. I would do it all over again except for my crash, the ride was a great experience. I have two broken ribs and some bruises on both shoulders. Beyond that, I'm doing well. Doc said that it will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal up. Here are some more pictures. Getting ready to start the ride. The blue bike is surrounded by orange. Radiator bypass surgery. Just think of the increased performance with the weight reduction. John getting ready to lead on. Taking a break. In this picture the wind was blowing 40+ MPH. It was strong enough that I turned my bike into the wind so that it would not get knocked over. The end of day one. Rich, Rene, and Paul. I did not get a picture of John and Mike. Rene is ready for the ride back. These are pictures of the group that rode back. Dave was gracious enough to provide the chase truck. On day one a few of us rode 3 hours in the dark to get into Primm. Dave’s truck with the pit crew toped us off for the last 50 mile section. It was awesome to see your truck in the middle of the desert after the street light were on. Thanks Dave Dustin Rene Larry Steve Paul John I did not get a picture of Dan. Sorry you were just to fast for my camera. Picture of the petrogyphs. Steve working on his green machine. It's time for a new helmet. The most important thing is that I had fun. John thanks for a great ride. Rich

ASV Levers & Safty Clutch Question

You can get ASV levers for the X. Yes you will have to solder or tape the wire ends together so that the kill switch is out of the loop.

Problems with Garmin Legend C GPS

I have the Garmin Etrex mounted to my bike with a RAM Mount. I had the same problem with the GPS turning off until by buddy told me about greasing the battery ends. You can use Dielectric grease or just any grease that you have around the garage. I also double fold a small strip of duck tape to the inside of the battery cover. The duck tape will apply pressure to the batteries to help keep them in place. Put some WD40 or grease on the portion of the duck tape that will touch you batteries. The WD will remove the adhesive on the tape so that the batteries will stay in the unit when you take the cover off.
  14. I found this posting and had the same problem with my son's 2001 XR80. I followed Eddie's advice and it helped a lot. Thanks for the help Eddie

    Upgrade question

Get an IMS 3.2 gallon tank. The extra range would be nice.
