  1. Thanks for the responce Eddie. Stock from the factory with the smog and stock pipe is OBDVT needle in the 3rd position 178 main and 42 pilot jet. I live at sea level and have removed the smog and now have a FMF pipe. I am still useing the stock needle OBDVT now in the 5th position a 178 main and a 45 pilot. The bike runs great. I consistantly ride from 3000-6000 ft in my local area with no complaints.
  2. I am looking for some help on jetting my bike for the Mammoth /Bridgport area. Altitude will range from 6800-11000 ft. My bike has had all the smog removed and I am running a FMF pipe. Thanks for any help.
  3. I just switched from a 2003 Yamaha WR 450 to a 2007 KTM EXC 525. Is there a KTM jetting chart on thumper talk like the one that is here for the WR'S? It was real helpfull for changing out jets for altitude.

  6. I JUST PICKED UP A JD JET KIT FOR MY 2003 WR 450. IN THE INSTUCTIONS IT SAYS TO USE MY STOCK PILOT JET. THE PROBLEM IS I DO NOT KNOW WHAT MY STOCK PILOT JET WAS (THE JETING EAS ALREADY CHANGED WHEN I PURCHACED THE BIKE.) DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE STOCK PILOT JET WAS? ALSO DO I NEED TO CHANGE MY LEAK JET AND STARTER JET? I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THESE TWO JET ARE USED FOR? WILL THEY HAVE ANY EFFECT ON HOW THE BIKE RUNS?   10. Also,do you mess with your leak jet & starter jet? If so what do you run up there? What do you run back home?how imprtant are they?
  11. thanks for the reply.It is very helpfull, do you use regular,mid or super unleded up there due to the octane and altitude issues? If your bike is a 490 now would the jetting be the same for my 450 with mod's?
  12. THIS AUGUST WILL BE MY 10TH YEAR IN A ROW RIDDING THERE. I WILL BE BRINING MY NEW(TO ME) 2003 WR 450 FOR THE FIRST TIME. I HAVE ALL THE FREE MODS PLUS PIPE,AIR FILTER. I AM GOING TO GET A JD JET KIT AND ADJUSTABLE TY DAVIS AIR SCREW. ALT. IS 9800-12000 FEET. TEMP IS ABOUT 75 DEGREES. DOES ANYONE HAVE SOME JETTING SET-UPS THAT HAVE WORKED HERE IN THE PAST? ARE THE DIFERANT YEARS OF WR 450 (2003-2006) JETTED THE SAME? INDYS CHARTS DO NOT HAVE YEARS ATTACHED. DO YOU GUYS USE REGULAR OR SUPER UNLEADED UP AT THIS HIGH ALT? AND WHY?
