  1. So, will a 2014 or newer starter motor fit a 2010 300 XCW? My starter is fried - I'm getting 13.09 volts at the starter connection upon hitting the button so I figure my starter is fried.
  2. Titanium typically turns blue like that as it heat cycles. You'll see it on any Ti system.
  3. I called Warp 9 and they set me up with beautiful wheels with brake adapter and Michelins for just over $1000USD.
  4. So, I rode my shiny new 500 EXC supermoto around the block a few times last week and it sure runs strong in stock form with all the emissions stuff intact. I have yet to fit the Blais Racing Services block-off kit I bought recently. The instructions in the kit also recommend removing the exhaust screen from the end cap. As icing on the cake, my dealer offered to remap the ECU after derestriction. I'm looking forward to this, but cannot find any feedback from other '14 500 EXC owners who've done the same thing. Has anyone here done this? How does she run afterwards? Any feedback would be appreciated.

  6. I ended up buying a shorter kickstand that was originally part of a lowering kit from ktm-parts.com. This kit included lower fork and shock springs along with the kickstand and they shipped me just the stand for $106. It works, but the bike does lean over a bit far with the motard wheels, but it's better than it was with the stock stand.
  7. I've searched this forum for a shorter kickstand for my '14 KTM 500 EXC supermoto but can't find anything other than cutting the stocker down. There's a Trail Tech stand that looks the part but Motostrano's website says it's not for any KTM newer than 2007. Anyone have a solution besides cutting?
  8. Bike looks great. I'm waiting for my Warp 9s to arrive any day now for my '14 500. How much trimming was needed for the fork guards? What number did you recalibrate to, 1882 or thereabouts?

  10. I would like to acquire a shop manual for my 2010 300 XC-W. I've searched on eBay and this forum and cannot locate one. Is it one manual for the whole bike or are there seperate ones for engine, chassis, etc? I haven't checked with my local dealer yet, but I'm guessing it would either be prohibitively expensive to order from them or they would stonewall to try and force me to bring my bike in for service and the $95/hour that goes with it. Does anyone have one on DVD or in print? Thanks!

  12. I did find the Kouba link online. It lowers the 250F 1 1/4". Thanks for the info, 'Vet, and let me know if you want to sell yours. Why did you take it off your wife's bike? I'm interested in a link primarily to improve handling, although the lower seat would be a nice side effect.

  14. Does anyone make a lowering link for the 2004/2005 KX250F? Would the bike benefit from this? I am waiting for an answer from Pro Circuit, who makes a link for this bike but I don't think it lowers it. Can anyone provide any info?
