  1. Did the washer and o-ring come out? An ultrasonic cleaner works wonders for cleaning and loosening things up in carbs.

    83 xl600r Head Cover Gasket

I'm looking for that gasket also. I can find them for 1984 on up models but not the 83. 1983 had the reed valve and later models didn't. I'm not sure if the gaskets are different or not. ,Anyone?

My experience titling a bike in AZ with a bond.

I just start the process last Friday to get a 1987 XL250R titled. I got my inspection, all the paperwork done and my certified letter sent to the last titled owner. All this took about 2 hours and cost $10.00. $4.00 to DMV for the title search and $6.00 to send the certified letter. I got the certified letter back yesterday undelivered. I figure 2 more trips to DMV and 1 to the bonding company and I'll have a good running 1987 XL250R with title for a little over $200.00. I paid $100.00 for the bike and was prepared to lose that inital investment if things didn't work out . So far it's been pretty easy and not at all like the horror stories I have read.

    Honda 1K teams

I don't see anyone beating the honda A team. If the KTM 690 holds together they have the best chance. Those are some impressive riders right there. Just wish Childress would get out of the trucks and back on a bike.

    Honda 1K teams

I know they have hired Shane Espisito to ride the 1000 with them. Should be a strong team.

Steve Hengeveld may race in Australia

An Aussie winning in Baja sure with the right riders and commitment. It won't happen overnight. Same for an American winning the Finke. So what is your point?

    Baja 250 Results? Stories?

The only hostility is between a few people on this board. The desert racing FAMILY isn't like this. Don't let them deter you.
