  1. It hasnt done any of this stuff until lately. I tried changing the main jet to a size bigger... then smaller. Maybe i should try the needle i suppose. It's definately not the rev limiter. It's just poping alot.

  3. I have a 05 rmz 450. The bike has had two top ends and a bottom end and no valves. The adjustment is always good when I check it, so I have not replaced the valves. Lately i have noticed that the motor wants to bog on hard landings when i try to land with the throttle on. It like hesitates... and i almost go for a ride over the bars. Also i noticed when i am stopped and just revving it up, it has a hesitation when i try to twist the throttle quickly. Im not twisting too quick, and i have tried to adjust the mixture screw but noting seems to help. When i hold the throttle half way in neutral, it pops alot. I dont notice this too much on the track but just sitting there messing with the throttle i have noticed this problem. Any suggestions??? Maybe a tight valve or jetting? I haven't checked the valves in a few months but i havent rode it much either. thanks
  4. the 110 is going to corner better than the 120 because it has less surface area
  5. the book says to fill the oil after changing it, then start it up and let it run for a few minutes and then check the oil after letting the bike cool down for 2 minutes. I ususlly do this and the oil level needs to be adjusted. Try that next time.
  6. when you refill it after changing the oil did you start the bike up and check the level?? After each race/practice i check my oil level and it is always a little low. I have to add a little bit every time... but not 200cc's!
  7. i have a fmf titanium powercore with spark arrestor and quiet core insert. i havent used it.. but i have heard that it is an excellent system. I have the slip on model, if your interested give me a ring... cell 951-316-2011 kris

  9. i have the phone # for the contingency rep. 714-996-7040 ext. 2309
  10. ive never actually done it, but i know you need to use almost boiling water for it to work.
  11. no.. i dont think so because he is a reputable engine builder. And my rod bering didnt go out, it was the crank berings that were making noise. and if the piston was rocking, it would flake the intake side too right?? those rockstar guys also tear their bikes down every week!!! i dont
  12. well i bought my 05 in october of 05, and i raced it a few times. I ride pretty hard, but i dont abuse my equipment. In january, the rod started making noise. So i took the cyliner off, and saw that there was scaring on the exhaust side. I had to get the cylinder relplated. But i went further, and replaced the rod and crank berings because i was already that far. I looked at the screens, and there wasnt enough debris to cause starvation. But the scaring on the cylinder was due to low oil level. thats what a mechanic told me. I always check the oil level, so i think maybe the oil pump issue may be correct. Did you guys ever get your bike going again??
  13. Yamaha

my friend just bought one, and he said that it wont idle. i havent looked at it yet, but i am familiar with carbs. john burr said that it wont idle because thats the only way it will pass emissions. is this true?
  14. this guy must know everything... haha
  15. i am having the same exact problem with my kx 250f. i cleaned the entire carb and put a new pilot jet in it. the only other thing it could be is the hot start. any suggestions??
