  1. My starter crapped the bed, so i pulled it apart and the only thing wrong is the needle bearing and seal in the front of the starter. Anyone know where i can buy replacement parts?

Balancer Shaft Damage from Impellers seals failing

Thanks for your help i am going to split the cases tomorrow night.
  3. I just found where my balance shaft needs to be replaced as it no longer has the mating material to turn my impeller shaft. Do i need to split my cases to get the shaft out to replace it? It is a 2007 wr 450. Looks like they changed the balancer shaft from earlier models to this style.

Trusty WR450 died and left me stranded!

check the carb vent hoses. the second day i owned mine it did the same thing and it ended up having some wet sand in one of the vent hoses. Took it home cleaned the bike and end of the hose and fired right up.

    2007 WR 450 Jetting Issue

Eddie, 2007 Yamaha WR 450 1. AIS removal kit Airbox Mods Gray wire disconnected Stock pipe insert removed 2. I commute 80%, offroad 20% Temperature 35-85 degrees F Sea Level 3. Pilot- 48 Main- 162s Needle- RGDDT (4th from top) Starter Jet- 65 Leak Jet-60 Pilot Air Jet-70 Fuel Screw-2 out 4. When I hold 1/8 to 1/4 throttle it surges. Also has a pronounces bog (I just read about the o-ring mod and will try) 5. Less surge when cold, not very noticeable Air temp has not mattered I have the bike taken apart to get ready to put it on the ice this winter. What jetting should I have for the winter 0-45 degree F and what should I have for the summer as I explained above. It would be nice to not change for each season....? Thanks Andrew
