  1. Will a 2006 kx250f complete bottom end motor fit on a 2005 rmz250?
  2. I dont know about the 07s or 08s, but my 06 gave me problems. I think I had a "hiccup" 06.
  3. If it breaks it can do some damage, and ruin the cams. First your gonna need a flywheel puller if you don't have one already. Flywheel has to come off in order to get the chain out. Pretty much all you do is remove the cam chain tensioner completely and pull the flywheel off inside the ignition cover. Then replace the chain. Same thing happened on my 06, right exhaust tightened and bent only a few hours in. My bikes for sale in parts! Blown the bike twice on really low hours.
  4. I decided to part out the bike, need the money. Check the classifieds. Selling like new hotcams, black rims/tires, Yoshimura Full Exhaust, and more. Thanks for all the help. Dont post here about the items for sale, just look at the classifieds and pm me if interested.
  5. So about $425.00 installed? How about if I do them myself? How do I, any links to sites? If I get the seats cut and install the valves myself then what valves should I get? Thanks. *Edit* Will these work on my 06? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Oem-KX250f-intake-exhaust-valves-used-tlr-springs_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35595QQihZ014QQitemZ330235892487QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Also I though intake valves usually go before exhaust....
  6. I ride MX and Dunes, some trails.
  7. EDIT: I decided to part out the bike, need the money. Check the classifieds. Selling like new hotcams, black rims/tires, Yoshimura Full Exhaust, and more. Thanks for all the help. Dont post here about the items for sale, just look at the classifieds and pm me if interested. --------------------------------------- 2006 KX250F - Recently I had to take apart my motor because my bike wouldn't start. I found that the right exhaust valve was pushed out and bent. The piston had a small mark on it, everything else was fine. I'm guessing that I need all new valves and the valve seats cut? How much will this cost to get done? As for the valves are they hard to do and how exactly do you do them? If I can do them myself then what kind of valves should I get? Kibblewhite? Faction MX? Pro X Titanium? Do the Valve Spring Kits have to match with the valve brand? Keep in mind I'm on a low budget. But I don't want something cheap thats not going to last a decent amount of time. Thanks.
  8. I had over 100 hours on my piston as well, and when I took it out it still looked good. When I replaced it I did notice a power difference. Just change the oil every 2-3 rides, buy a reusable oil filter and clean the air filter.
  9. Took apart the motor earlier today, the right exhaust valve was pushed out about half and inch, and some marks on the piston. So I found the problem. I'm guessing it needs all new valves and the valve seats cut. How much do you think this will cost to get repaired?
  10. +1 on that. The back tire throws it off.
  11. Just things like oil leaks from the sprockets and seals, stuck closed carb, stuck hot start, as well as overheating problems. The first time, the motor locked up while I was riding. Check and Valve clearance is perfect all in spec...
  12. I do blame the bike, I treated my bike like a baby and its given me nothing but problems since it rolled out of the show room. It shouldn't have blown up the first time, with only like 30 hours in. Thats not the only problems Ive had with it too. Anyway, ill check the clearances today. If I do get the bike running again next up is a For Sale sign.
  13. The bike ran fine the first day I got it back up until now. It did however bog when you weren't on the gas. The kick starter just feels really weak. There's nothing wrong with the head gasket and the plug looks fine, but im going to get a new one... If a new plug don't work and its something to do with the motor, im not spending more money on it.... If I do get a new bike I highly doubt ill ever get another Kawasaki.
  14. My 2006 kx250f wont start. I take good care of it but it seems to always give me problems. I change the oil and oil filter every 2-3 rides, clean the air filter and wash the bike almost after every ride. About 2 months ago I got the bike back from the shop because the motor blew, spent about $2000+ and got the whole motor rebuilt top and bottom. Now just today I went out for a ride and on my way home the bike just died like it would if you ran out of gas. So that was my first thought, checked it and the tank was half full. So I tried to kick it over and it wouldn't start. What I noticed after I got home is the kick starter is really easy to push down. I can push it down with little to no effort with my hand. What do you think could have happened? Hopefully its nothing major, because I cant afford anything major. I could barely afford a new tire and tube. If it is I think I'm going to hang up my helmet for a while until I can afford a new bike. EDIT: Took motor apart. (May 12, 2008) Took apart the motor earlier today, the right exhaust valve was pushed out about half and inch, and some marks on the piston. So I found the problem. I'm guessing it needs all new valves and the valve seats cut. How much do you think this will cost to get repaired?
  15. Yeah what was up with that guy?
