Kicking Off The Season In Globe, AZ An exciting day of racing and good times started off early Saturday morning in Globe, AZ with Round 1 of the 2016 AMRA Fly Racing Off Road Mini Series. The mostly singletrack, 2.5 mile course laid out by the Rock Stars MC was a big hit for all the riders. DJ Weber was the fastest rider of the day taking the win in the Supermini class. Complete results can be found HERE Pictures from the event can be found on our Facebook page HERE After a fantastic lunch provided by the Tri City Fire Department, the AMRA New Rider Open House and Ride Day kicked off where riders had the chance to test their skills and set their best times in the Endurocross, Escargot course, Balance Beam, and also spin some laps on a desert singletrack loop! To know one's surprise, Max Gerston set the fastest times of the day in every event but Caleb Lamca was the winner of the FREE entry to OCMC's Rockin' GP in April with his great performance on the balance beam. The highlight of the day for many was Max Gerston's Endurocross clinic in the afternoon. Max took the time to demonstrate some techniques and also worked with each rider individually to help them master each obstacle. Having raced with AMRA himself on an 85, Max is a true role model to our young riders! Well done Max! Camp Wood Pre-Entry Closes 1 Week From Today Don't forget to get pre-entered for Round 1 of the 2016 AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship Series (big bikes) in Camp Wood, AZ. You can always sign up at the event but pre-entering will not only save you some money but ensures you a good row assignment as well. Click HERE to pre-enter now *New requirement for the Sheridan Mountain Showdown in Camp Wood on September 27th. For the foreseeable future the Prescott National Forest Service is requiring all racers to have a Gas Mat under their bike when re-fueling and working on the motorcycle to prevent gas, oil and coolant to be spilled on the ground. This requirement is for the camping / staging area and the gas pit. There will be a designated filling area at the gas pit that ALL racers have to use, this is mandatory. Racers that fail to do so will be subject to a fine, penalty, or disqualification from the event. The gas mat needs have an absorbent top with a rubber backing to prevent gas, oil, or coolant from leaking through. It is recommended that all jetting and fueling of your bike is done before you get to the event. If you have any questions please call Todd Berger at 480-318-5504 Updated 2016 AMRA Season Schedule

Camp Wood Recap and Official Results After the dust cleared from the Arizona Trail Riders 2015 “Sheridan Mountain Showdown” enduro Jordan Brandt reclaimed his title of the Sheriff of Camp Wood. The April 12th event held at Camp Wood, Arizona under permit from the Prescott National Forest was Round 8 of the AMRA MotoCity Off Road Championship Series as well as Round 4 of the AMA/SRT/Flexx Bars Western Checkpoint Enduro Championship. The cross series promotion brought out riders from all over the Western States to do battle on the rocky forest trails of the Sheridan Mountain Smith Mesa OHV area. At the end of the day there were many tired racers but the positive comments and grins at the scoring tent hinted that overall the event was another success! The restart enduro course had 7 Test sections for the A’s, 6 Test sections for the B’s, and 4 Tests for the C’s. The 80 mile course was essentially one long loop ranging from 6500’ to 3500’ in elevation with Camp Wood’s infamous rocks challenging riders on every trail and at every turn! Congratulations to Jordan Brandt for staying focused and picking the right lines to take the Overall win with Ryan Kudla taking 2nd and Joshua Knight 3rd. On that note, our apologies to Mitch Carvolith for initially reporting his 3rd place Overall finish at the race. Due to a tie in points for 2nd and 3rd Overall a review of the scorecards and back-up sheets indicated an error in our initial scoring which upon correction moved Mitch to 4th place Overall. However, congratulations to Mitch for a solid performance and securing the AMRA #1 plate for the upcoming season. This event has a history of being tough on both the rider and machine. Everyone who participated, and especially those who completed the course, deserve a big round of applause, a pat on the back, and a frosty beverage for their efforts. The Arizona Trail Riders want to say “Thank You” to AMRA, WestChec, all the riders who came to compete, and all the sponsors who support the AMRA and WestChec Series. We very much appreciate your support and hope to see you again next year. Sheridan Mountain Showdown Top 10 Overall Jordan Brandt Ryan Kudla Joshua Knight Mitch Carvolith Cory Pincock Travis Epperson Nick Fouts Zach Peterson Daniel Martin Brady Elton Official results have been posted HERE Questions about results can be sent to Steward@amraracing.com Pictures of all riders can be found HERE Congratulations to Scott Whittington for being the highest finishing Motocity "C class" rider and earning himself a $250 in-store credit! Thanks to everyone for a great season and we look forward to seeing you all at the 2015 Awards Banquet on Saturday, June 13th. Flyer and ticket sales coming soon!

Round 8 - Camp Wood - Updates The Arizona Trail Riders are hosting the final round of the 2015 AMRA MotoCity Off Road Championship and Round 3 of the Western Checkpoint Enduro Championship on April 12, 2015 at the Sheridan Mountain Showdown Enduro held at Camp Wood, Arizona. The event is being held under permit from the Prescott National Forest. This restart format (no timekeeping) enduro is known for being a challenge for the participants due to the rocky trails and terrain which goes from pine forest to high desert with a 3000 ft elevation change (3000ft - to 6000ft). The AA/A participants will ride an 80 mile course with 7 test sections, B participants will ride an 75 mile course with 6 test sections, and the C participants will have a 50 mile course with 4 Test sections. Check out last year's video HERE. The riders sure had some great things to say about the event! AEO & EVO will be chipping in an extra $250 bonus to the "AA" class purse this year and AMRA title sponsor, Motocity, will be offering a $250 store credit to the highest finishing Motocity rider in the C Class Overall (KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles only. Must be original owner and purchased from Motocity) A dumpster will be provided for trash and will be located at the Old Stage Stop Texaco. Stop in, fuel up, and toss your trash. No tires or chemicals please. Our apologies but there will be no mini class again this year at the Sheridan Mountain Showdown as the event location does not have a suitable location for the course. No play bikes, only race support vehicles please. Pre-entry closes Monday, April 6th at midnight. CLICK THIS TO PRE-ENTER NOW

Also, if you are a Motocity "C" class rider, they will be awarding a $250 gift certificate to the highest finishing Motocity rider in the "C" class overall! (must be original owner of KTM or Husqvarna motorcycle purchased from Motocity) *please note that there are no mini races at Round 8 Battling For The Championship The AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship Series has seen unprecedented attendance in 2015 and with riders now coming out to race from all over the country, the competition level has never been higher. Some of the points battles are so close that even with just one race remaining in the season, anything could happen. Although Mitch Carvolth has the Overall Championship locked up, the final 2 podium spots are not. Three riders, Travis Epperson, Daniel Martin, and Nick Fouts are all looking to fill one of those last 2 spots. The 200A Class has seen competition like never before with 5 different riders taking the win out of the first 7 races! Kyle Hutcheson leads Geoff Brownell by just 6 points going into Camp Wood. The 250B Championship may also come down to this final race of the season. Rusty Conner leads Cecil Schrader by less than 20 points and Taylor King is right on their heels also. These guys may be your top 3 when it's all over but the order is still unknown. The closest battle however in the 2015 AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship is not for the boys........it is for the Women! The ladies of the Coconino Trail Riders have the Womens C championship podium completely covered but the top 2, Daiana Trapp and Annie Borling, are in a dead even tie for a true "winner take all" race next month! Good luck to everyone and thanks for a FANTASTIC season! The 2015 AMRA Year-End Banquet Is June 13th Save the date! The 2015 AMRA Motocity Year-End Awards Banquet is Saturday, June 13th at Pinnacle Peak Patios! It is always a great time with raffles, great food, and championship awards! Details coming soon.....

Martin Tastes Victory At Round 7 - The Copper Classic Round 7 of the 2015 AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship Series in San Manuel, Arizona is always a racer’s favorite and this year was no different. Over 200 Big Bikes and 56 Minis showed up on Saturday to tackle the “long loop” courses laid out by the Trail Riders of Southern Arizona. The Big Bike Hare Scramble kicked off at 12 noon and Daniel Martin was the guy to beat from the drop of the flag. Daniel jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back, even after losing most of his muffler early on. Travis Epperson, after suffering from a bad start, battled his way through the pack and up to second place overall by the end of the 70 mile course. Nick Fouts claimed the final podium spot and his first AA/Overall Podium finish. Fouts even suffered a flat front tire late in the race but was able to bring it to the finish thanks to his Tubliss equipped tires. Mitch Carvolth wrapped up the 2015 AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship at the previous round and sat this event out due to a scheduling conflict. Daniel Martin now sits a little more comfortably in second place, ahead of Travis Epperson, in the Overall and AA class standings with just one race to go in the 2015 AMRA Motocity Season. 2nd place however is not out of Epperson’s reach and it’s going to come down to the wire at Round 8 in Camp Wood, AZ. This weekend was the final race of the 2015 Season for the AMRA mini racers. Broc Cruzan took the Overall Win in Race #1 and “put the icing on the cake” of his 85A Championship. Broc has had perfect season with 7 wins! Collier Martinez won Mini Race #2 and Ruffin Dodson was your fastest 50cc racer in Mini Race #3. Congratulations to all of our talented young riders! Preliminary results are now posted. Questions about results should be sent to steward@amraracing.com or ministeward@amraracing.com Protest period ends Friday, March 13th. AWESOME races this past weekend!! Carvolth Wraps Up 2015 AMRA Championship at Round 6 Round 6 of the 2015 AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship Series, "The Prison Break Hare Scrambles", presented by Rock Stars MC was the place to race this past weekend. Thanks to rains the week before the event, much of the course was dust free and the new course layout allowed for close battles and passing opportunities. On Saturday, 50cc mini racers were the first to take on some of the freshly cut singletrack followed by the 65cc and 85cc classes. Logan Schingeck took the Overall Win in the 50cc race after battling with Ayden Shortridge for the entire 30 minutes. In Mini Race #2, which included 85C and 65B/C classes, Michael Castadena got out to an early lead and never looked back for his 3rd win of the season. In Mini Race #3, Brock Cruzan put in another great ride for this 6th win of the season. At Noon Saturday the C Class Race kicked off and racers got their first look at some of the new trails for this year's event. Despite the addition of several high-speed sections this year, it was Luis Kortright, Tristen Wilckens, and Chad LaMaide of the 250C Division that took the top 3 overall spots in the C Class. At 9am Sunday morning, the green flag dropped for the Pro/A/B race. Cool temperatures over night restored much of the moisture in the ground and conditions remained mostly dust free for the 2 hour Hare Scramble. At the end of the day, Mitch Carvolth was able to take yet another win and seal the deal on the 2015 AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship! Travis Epperson put in a great ride as well finishing just 30 seconds behind Carvolth and Daniel Martin finished 3rd after leading much of the first lap. Round 6 "The Rock Stars Prison Break" Updates Round 6 of the 2015 AMRA Motocity Off Road Championship Series, "The Rock Stars Prison Break" is getting close....if you haven’t pre-entered do so now! Pre-entry will close Wednesday night at midnight. The Globe area has received over an inch of rain in the last few days which should make for great conditions this weekend. This year we are happy to say we have added 2.5 miles of new trail to the existing course. Two miles of the new trail is on a section of the Gila County Fairgrounds that has never seen trail before. It is literally all new and includes the horse track, tight single track, a grass track, and horse corral! We have also added ½ mile of new trail towards the beginning of the existing course that is a photographer’s dream, with green grass and perfect dirt! Here are a few important notes about this year’s event at the Gila County Fairgrounds: • The pit area has moved from the normal location to the asphalt on the north side of the registration building. See map below. Pit supplies in this area only please. • The old pit area is now a full race zone. Please stay away from this area for your safety. • There will be two road crossings on the Big Bike Course this year. When you show up to the race area be aware of the road crossing. If there is a race going on we will have it staffed with flaggers but still drive slow and be alert at all times please. Same thing goes for the racers, be sure the staff has the vehicles stopped before you proceed. Don’t assume. • Please see the map below for parking areas, spectator areas, and a general guide to get you around. • Support the food vendor. They will be in the registration building serving up some delicious eats. • Show up early and stay late to watch some trials competitions! Central Arizona Trials (CAT) is putting on a trials event Saturday and Sunday after the hare scramble race is complete. • The Renaissance Festival starts February 7th. If you are driving up the day of your race, please plan accordingly and don’t be late. • Please be courteous when on the property. We have been fortunate to be allowed back year after year. • Good luck and thank you for supporting the Rock Stars MC and AMRA! Big Bikes Pre-Entry Minis Pre-Entry Teaser Video
