  1. I just took the linkage apart.
  2. I'm rebuilding my top end on a 2014 KTM 250sx and I'm not too familiar with KTMs. I have a part that I don't recognise and I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify it. I thought it went near the power valve but it doesn't look like it.
  3. Great thanks!
  4. I'm wondering if the new front fender/number plate bolt directly on a 2014? I have to replace it and I thought I might as well get the new stuff if it fits.
  5. I wouldn't be so sure about a new 450 in 2017.
  6. Nevermind, I found a thread on it.
  7. Im considering both of these and I can get the 2011 for $1000 cheaper. I know the new one is a bit faster and has black rims, etc. Is it really worth $1000 more?
  8. I haven't tried the 2008, but the forks on my 2009 450XC are light years better than the ones on my '07 250sx.
  9. I wouldn't read too much into that. Alessi is training with him in Australia right now so he probably just hopped on to see what it was like.
  10. I don't think I've ever read a MXA test where they did like the gearing.
  11. I measured my spring today and it was 38.4 mm. Do I still need to shim it with a washer or is it ok the way it is? Secondly, where are you guys getting the washer? Is it a KTM part? Thanks
  12. I just bought a lightly used 2009 450xc-f, and I'm wondering if there is anything I need to do with the oil pump. I've read some people shim it and was wondering where I can find out how to do that. Also, is it necessary to get a manual cam chain tensioner? The bike has about 10 hrs on it.
  13. I have the chance to get a 2008 KTM 250sx-f for $6000 taxes in. It's a new leftover model and I'm trying to decide if that's fair or a bit high. Local dealer says it's a good deal but I'm not sure. Any opinions?
  14. I'm currently looking for a new bike for a mixture of trail riding and MX. I have it narrowed down to either a 08 250SX-f which is a new leftover model, or an 09 450xc dealer demo with 15 hours on it. I can get both for the same price. I won't be putting a lot of hours on it because the nearest riding area is 2 hours away. I'm 5'10, 185 lbs and I have quite a bit of experience riding but I haven't ridden much in the last 10 years and I'm novice level on the track. I'm looking for suggestions for which one is best suited for me. thanks.
  15. I use Yamalube R and have never had a problem. MXA mentioned in one of their magazines that it's all they use when it comes to their 2 strokes so it's gotta be decent.
