  1. Just read in Motocross Action that Yamaha is recalling all 06 YZ250F's, because of intake valve fatigue. Seems that all bikes are covered even if out of warranty and that all you have to do is contact your Yamaha dealer and make an appointment to have the work done.
  2. I have a stock 06 250F and 450F exhaust if anyone is interested
  3. I'm having the same problem, bike has very few hours. Talked to the service tech at the Yamaha dealer yesterday and this is what he told me. He said that they have seen this problem on new 450's, he told me to wait and ride the bike a couple of times and get a few more hours on it, says that sometimes the shaft seal takes awhile to fully seal if bike is not riden alot. I try his advise and let you know what happens.
  4. Just got 06 YZ450F, first 4 stroke that I have owned so as you can imagine I have a lot of questions and a lot to learn about this bike. Here is the first one bike has about 3 hrs on it. When bike was idling and warmed up noticed coolant coming from the weep hole on the water pump cover. not sure if this is normal when bike is idling for extended time. But suspect water pump seal leaking. Our my suspicions correct?
