  1. Dr. Mark...I went to the Doctor today and they took some xrays...no surgery which is good. The Doc said that I have a case of Tendinitis in my knee cap area...his only suggestions was to exercise on the stationary cycle, leg presses. What is your input on this....is building up the muscles in my leg and knee area going to be my only way to help this problem. Thanks Kevin

    Pain in Knee's!!

    I am 30 years old, not racing, just like to ride for fun. I have been in and out of riding for about 3 seasons....well I just started back riding about 6 weeks ago, and I have always had some what of some problems with my knees. I can take Ibprofien before I ride and after and everything is cool... but the next week after I have this stupid pain right in the middle of my knee. I take the Glucosumine 2X day, and do the stationary cycling class 2-3 times per week, and can not get the pain to go away. I hurts when I try to do anything in a squating motion, like getting off a chair, getting off the floor..etc. Is there anything that anyone could suggest. I made a appointment with a OP. Doc on 5-3-07...so I guess I will see what he says if nothing else. I ordered a set of Asterisk knee braces hoping that this will help to keep some of the impact off my knee's. Thanks
  4. Doc, I have pain in the top of the knee cap area. I went to the Ortho, and had a MRI, one doctor told me that I had tendions torn on top of the new cap, another doctor recently (2 weeks ago) told me that I had a meniscal tear(sorry if the spelling is not right) under the center of my right knee cap. I told the doctor that I wanted to keep riding, just for fun and to stay in shape. I have been going to the gym 4 times a week. I enrolled in the spinning class for 45 min., and leg presses as well. I can tell a difference in just the short time that I have been going. But, I rode my bike Saturday, and the tops of my knee caps are real sore if I hit them on something. Is there anything that I should be doing different, or is this something that I am going to have to live with? Thanks
