  5. Was at Doublin Gap this weekend very nice track. It is technical but fun no do or die jumps with some elavation change. The owner Jeff is an ex priviteer racer. Very nice talk to him and let ya know what ya think we saw him out talking to the riders all day. They will be holding practice each week check the web site for details www.doublingap.com It was $40 for the day to ride but coming in Oct they are going to be selling memberships good till the end of 2008 its $45 for the year and you ride the day you buy the membership for free. Each time after is $25 to practice. IT\t is only about 6 miles of the pa turnpike. Well worth the trip up there very professional facilty groomed in the moring and watered when needed
  6. Anyone tried the New Michelin Startcross HP4? Any feedback would be appreciated. I ride hardpack but also hit tracks that are loamy dirt mixed with mulch in PA I'm wondering if these tries would still work well in both conditions? I know the tire is made for hard pack blue groove. I don’t race and I’m just a weekend rider and new to the sport only been riding 1 year. I am putting this on the rear of a 2005 yz450F. I went to the cycle shop to buy a Michelin MH3 or a bridgestone M401 but the guy there is telling me this tire is a excellent replacment for a MH3 and will work great in all conditions if not better then the MH3 due to it being Michelins lastest tire technology. Needless to say he confused me more. I did a search on here and cant find any post on the hp4.
  7. do they run open practices? Or are they grouped by skill level? I never been there before but heard the interm track get fairly crowed? how was it when you went? was dust an issue with all the heat? Jsut courious before i make the trip down I ride alot in PA and latley mostly at Rocket Raceway kinda spoiled with how well the track conditions are there cant be the $25 eathier.
  8. Cool idea how to we set up a TT at rocket....It would be a great way to show Mark and Shelly our appreciation for all there hard work and to meet TT member
  9. they do allow you to camp there overnight for free no hook ups so its primative
  10. go in to the project overview the project will be complete in 2015 and the off road course is wont be completed until the 3 phase .......7 years to go and counting .... you would think the off-road course would be first it is the easiest of the courses to construct and will genarate some income.....dont get me wrong i am glad this is being done just eager to had a new track to ride at.......that is close to home for a change
  11. i saw you there pegged and your son also. I was on a yz450f no number. I am 2nd year rider. Me and my brother in law were talking about both of you and these 2 other riders one on a rmz450 number 307 and a crf250f number 511 you guys make it look so easy out there.......love watch you guys fly threw the air on the last jump before your come to the turn by the spectator booth ........cant went to get the balls/skills to do it myself Cant thank Mark and Shelly enough i feel like i am robbing them paying only $25 to ride there compared to other tracks that charge 2 to 3 times that and are not as well cared for consistentlly ever time you go ........... cough cough Rausch Creek:lame:
  12. Can't express enough on what a great track this is.The name says it all "Rocket" this is a fast track. We have been there about 6 times this year and eveytime Mark and Shelly (couple that owns the track) have been great hosts. The track is watered as needed throughout the day and they will groom it about half way threw the day if need.( yes the track was groomed before they opened.) They take alot of pride in there track and it shows make sure you say hi to them and let them know what ya think. Living in Lancaster, Pa i have to drive at least 2hrs to get to any mx track. And get to go every other weekend so This is well worth the drive every time never disapointed we went or have any complaints. It is in the middle of no where so pack a lunch and enjoy the day. They do allow quads there on sat but i have only seen 1 or 2 there the 6 times i have been there. Sunday is bikes only!!! www.rocketraceway.com Looking forward to trying the homemade Powerbars in the Fall!
  13. I also forgot to metion that that have a 6.5 mile hare scramable loop...... www.rocketraceway.com
  14. Went to Rocket Raceway this weekend! All or group keep saying was how fun this track was. It is a a blast to ride on you can really open you bike up on this track. The jumps are nice nothing extreme but that is not what Rocket about it tests your high speed limts threw some swwweettt turns.....and natural elavation changes. It was nicely groomed when we got there and was watered throughout the day as need. Mark and Shelly are such great Hosts. Shelly stopped by a few times to chat. We went on a Sunday when it was bikes only which is a nice option they offer. WELL worth the 2hr drive. and $25 fee And they have .50 cents for an ice cold bottle of water cant beat that when you forgot to bring you own
  15. Well you could go to www.njorvp.org tha is the only legal place in jersey to ride
