    Mini Adventure

So I have a very small 5 year old who's just come off his Oset. He rode it and a PW longer than I would have liked, only because he was just too small on anything else. I just picked up a 2004 Mini Adventure, as my research indicated the lowest possible seat height for a similar machine. I've mounted the shock in the lower position upper hole and set sag appropriately. I also moved the forks up in the clamps as much as the bars would allow. Any other dads have a small rider with any tips for me? Also, any tips about setup and such for this particular bike would really be appreciated. Thanks

This is pic is of her cleaning mud out of my radiators in between laps at a 24hr race. She cleans mine, hers and our sons bikes. Please Slick, please help me help my wife!!

When did you take your kids training wheels off?

To each his own. I just found that since my son was riding his bicycle without training wheels, there was no sense in putting them in his dirt bike. At 2 1/2 years old, he begged me to take off his training wheels so by his 3rd birthday (when he got his PW50), he was quite proficient. Just made no sense to take a step backwards, in my opinion.

He gets 1 1/2 hours on it without dying. He wears out before it does lol.

He already had a PW50...I got rid of it because the Oset is faster and teaching him far more. If you're not familiar with Oset, don't mistake it for a POS Chinese electric toy. He's already riding beyond the limits of a PW50.

Never put them on!!! He begged me to take training wheels off his bicycle at 2 1/2 years old. For his 3rd birthday, he got a PW50 and rode it from the start with no training wheels. I don't think I'd ever recommend putting them on.

So if either one is $3500 and either one is competitive, what would be the advantage in choosing the one that needs suspension work?

Refer back to my first post and have a clue.

And that compares to what other bikes and how?

Thanks man. How's the power of the Cobra as compared to KTM or others? I mean, I know they're fast but are the fun and manageable?
