  1. I did the 3x3 jet kit w proper jetting I am more worried about the leak the the heat. I started the bike again , quickly put the choke to half seemed a little better maybe it was just bad when it was at full choke I was a little freaked out I am not impressed with the sloppy fit on the power bomb. I thought this was one of the most used headers?
  2. My bike has been sitting for a month and did not start right away so there might have been a bit of excess fuel in the carb this might explain the red pipe.
  3. So I put on my FMF ti 4 with SS mid and header, started her up and I have some exhaust escaping from the join where the header meets the engine. it was a little sloppy to begin with. anyways after 1 minute this header was hot. it started glowing red ??? and would most likely melt my rubber rad pipe Where did I go wrong? Anyone else experience this? The black stain in the pic is some high temp silicone sealant than basically got blown out of the join http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g60/djplan/IMG_1309.jpg http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g60/djplan/IMG_1311.jpg
  4. I have a power bomb header. I am in the process of installing a full exhaust and the fit between the engine and the header is sloppy compared to stock. the bracket appears to almost be on an angle and there is about 1mm of play around the join. Is this normal ? I have not fully tightened it up with silicone yet It might go away when tightened up but it is no where near the same tight fit as stock. Any ideas thanks
  5. I just got a full FMF Ti 4, (it's sweet by the way) and the manual says to repack every 20-30 hours or I will damage the Can.??? This sounds expensive at $15-$20 for a repack kit. How long can I really let it go for? Has anyone ever ruined a muffler from lack of repacking? thx
  6. If mine goes again I am trying this http://www.off-road.com/atv/tech/yfz450_fixes/battery.html YZF Uses the same YT7B-BS The YTZ10S is only a fraction bigger and a bit heavier but has twice the CCA
  7. To increase the rev limit, rather than buy a popcorn box. is it safe to say that a cdi unit from an E would be a upgrade for an S?
  8. I was wondering the same thing?

  10. Thanks for taking and posting those pics Geoff . I think if you keep posting ride reports on here we may end up getting a few visitors.
  11. Anyone try this http://www.off-road.com/atv/tech/yfz450_fixes/battery.html Yzf uses the same stock battery as the DRZ
  12. so I think I am ready to do the 3x3 on my 04 S. I have the stage 1 Dj jet kit Ext screw The only thing I am missing is the #25 pilot jet My local stealership says I have to get one from Mikuni??? I am sure they can get me one but don't want to. Anyways I am wondering will the stock 22.5 work or do I need the #25? Riding mostly at sea level in mild temperatures. bike has stock exhaust with K&n filter. If I do need it does anyone know of a web site that sells the #25 pilot and does not charge $21.5 shipping to Canada for something the size of a pea. Or if anyone has an extra one they will sell me. Thx
