  1. I haven't done the air box mod. It is still stock, except for the billet tip.
  2. I notice it mainly at low speeds. It will stall once in a while on my way to work. Doesn't seem to stall on the way home though. It idles ok, once in a while a miss. It isn't smooth in 2nd or 3rd gear at approx 25ish mph. I can't figure it out, but I am quite sure it shouldn't be that way. My other bikes are smooth.
  3. Hello, My 2003 DRZ400S is driving me crazy. It will have a low speed miss, approx 33-35 mph. At low speeds it jerks. I checked the valve clearance, pulled the carb off last week and thoroughly cleaned it. I moved my air screw out to approx 4 turns. Now it seems that it doesn't back pop as much when I come off the throttle, but still has that hesitation! It is still factory jetting on my carb. I would think that it shouldn't miss, even with factory jetting? Only thing I have done, was put the billet tip on the muffler.Any suggestions?
  4. Yeh. I just replaced the seat last month. Probably only 20 hours on the gel seat. I assume it wil eventually break in.
  5. Thanks for the info from Carl's. What were you looking to sell the drz3's for?
  6. Hello, I am looking to lower my 2003 DRZ400s. I put the Suzuki gel seat on, but still need a little. I went to the Kouba link site, apparantly they are out of business. I was unable to find any info on them now. Any suggestions?
  7. Thanks. Great info. Kudos for that detailed step by step directions!
  8. Is there any sites that show how to check the valve clearance?
  9. Thanks for the info.
  10. Hi, We are looking at a 2004 and or a 2005 RMZ250 for my son. I was curious if Suzuki had any valve issues as Honda does? We were also looking at the Yamaha YZ250F as well. Any help would be appreciated. We are currently selling a 2002 KTM 125SX.
  11. We ended up with a 2002 yz250F!!! I had a 2000 Yamaha YZ125 that gave me zero problems. Gotta stick with blue!!Of course our 2002 KTM 125 SX is available. Email me for details.
  12. Ok, thanks for the great info. We are most likely selling the 2002 KTM 125 sx. If anybody is selling a Yamaha YZ250F 2001-2003 ish, please let me know. I live in Pittsburgh,PA. I looked in the classifieds and saw one.
  13. According to all of your responses, Yamaha is the way! I just sold my 2000 YZ125, never had a prob with it. I was leaning to Yamaha as well.
  14. Hello, My son currently has an 02 KTM 125sx. We were out looking at a 2004 Honda crf250 and a Yamaha YZf250. I ride a DRZ400s. My concern is the valve issue that tends to be haunting the Honda's. I was questioning if anyone knew of any problems with the Yamaha? Both dealers are asking 3400.00 for each respective bike. Of course we would need to part with the KTM. We just had the KTM rebuilt, completely. Any suggestions?
  15. I am sort of itching to see if mine is running ok, it's been raining in pgh for the last 2 weeks! I cleaned the carb, drilled out the air screw and opened it a 1/2 turn. I haven't jetted anything yet.
