  1. I have an 06' 30 Raptor with a pipe and jet kit. I went to the dunes last week and when my wife would go riding for a while it would just quit and not start acting like it had a dead battery. I charged it for a while and it would start up and ride but only for a short time then die and do the same thing. didn't charge it this time but just let it sit for an hour and then it fired back up. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but it backfires a little through the carb at idle for some reason. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Good deal?

    A guy offered me $4000 for my 2001 YZ426F and I'm not sure if i should do it. Its got lots of extras like pro tapers, Scott's stabilizer, big gun pipe, trail tech computer, IMS tank and pegs, baja designs lighting coil and street legal kit. and it is street legal in NV. should i do it?
  3. I made my 01 426 street legal in NV and it cost me around $1100. I bought Baja Designs lighting coil and there street legal kit which comes with headlight, horn, turn signals and battery all behind there numberplate. And there rear fender brake light and turn signal assembly is nice and clean. all worked great and that lighting coil really puts out some power.

  5. Still having carb problems on my 01' 426. Runs fine with the choke on and dont run with it off. Jets are clean, no air leaks on the manifold. No vissible problems. Is there something that seals the hot start? Is there an o-ring in the hole or on the shaft? Could air be passing the hot start and making a lean condition where using the choke fixes?

    ive owned the bike since new and never had this problem before. it was cutting out or popping a little at top end before this problem but nothing to serious. then it happened the next ride which was sad to say a month later. its fresh gas.
  8. I have a 01' 426 that runs perfectly fine with the choke on, and when the choke is off it pops pretty much all the time. Ive cleaned the carb like 4 times being sure to clean the piolet jet and all jets for that matter. Can you clean the piolet passage way with something? Could it be valves? Thanks for all you help. Ride on!

  10. its dropped a little. but i have had this same configuartion for years with no problems.
  11. Before i didnt have to pull the choke to start it but now i do and it runs ok but not as good at idle. the bike has got some hours but never had a problem starting it. how do you check the timing? how do you check the stator and coil? thanks for your help!

  13. no he didnt hammer it, and ive checked for air leakes. ill take the hot start out again and check that. thanks for your help

    Vegas riding?

    I live in Boulder City, and this place is got some great riding. moutains, sandy washes, and some very technical trails.
