Bent Wheels Enduro offers a chance to try an enduro without Time keeping, headlight, or license plate. All you need is an ORV sticker and Spark Arrestor, to find out if your the fastest rider in the woods. From the Bent Wheels Club: In the 40 year history of the Bent Wheels, many Enduros have been run out of Rose City, MI. It's been a while, but in partnership with M.O.R.E. and FES, Inc., the Bent Wheels are back! On June 20 and 21, 2009 the Bent Handlebar Classic will be run out of Rose City, MI. This is a points paying event for D-14 & D-15 and the Family Enduro Series. The event will be run entirely on private property with some very good new sections of virgin trail (notice the name of the event!) A full-on motocross section is also included (1.2 miles around the groomed track). Several great spectator segments will be easily accessible as well. There will be one gas stop. Support and spectator maps will be available the day of the event. The event will begin and end on the club property in Rose City using a restart format. This is a perfect event for motocross bikes as no timekeeping equipment will be required. USFS spark arrestors, ORV stickers, and a 96db sound limit are part of the requirements for the D-14 / D-15 event on Sunday 6/21/09. The FES Enduro on Saturday does not require AMA or D-14 membership. There will be free camping onsite with fresh water available and pit toilets. Bring the family or your vintage bike for the Saturday ride and make it full weekend! See the flyers for more info. Keith Alexander BWCC Competition Director Event flyers for the Bent Wheels / M.O.R.E. enduros are posted on www.d14enduro.org, and preregistration is available for the Sunday event. 9. Does the following post violate the TOS? Its in the SW forum..Promotes your event and ACP..a local track? Your site...your rules..The regional forums can be a lot more flexible and benefit everyone including the local tracks. How much do you pay if I run a TT banner on my websites? If a local track runs your banner ad will you allow event posting in a regional forum? Our town has a policy similar to yours in reason only. Its a sign ordinance that all the residents and business owners must follow. All except those who made the rule. Why? Because those who made the rule understand that advertising works, so they break their own rules in order to insure successful events while others struggle working within the rules. Rules that impede advertising. How about a short test period allowing tracks to post up their events and see what happens? Don't announce it, just don't delete the posts. If you get over run...back to the old way of doing things. If not...you enabled a win..win! http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=510404&highlight=tt+track+day __________________________________________________________________ armourbl armourbl is offline TT Moderator armourbl's Avatar Join Date: Jul 2001 Location: Arizona Age: 35 Posts: 3,251 Add to armourbl's Reputation Report Post 2nd Annual Arizona TT Ride Day, August 18th, 2007 POST UPDATE: TRACK LOCATION AND DATE HAVE BEEN DETERMINED. PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST FOR THE MOST CURRENT INFORMATION The second annual Arizona ThumperTalk Day will be held at Arizona Cycle Park, in Buckeye, Arizona on Saturday, August 18th. ACP features a very spacious pit area overlooking all of the tracks from an elevated view. You can literally see the entire track from the pit fence. For more information about the track and driving directions, please visit their website. www.arizonacyclepark.com All two-wheel riders of all ages, skill levels, bike sizes and types are welcome -- of course anyone riding a two-stroke will have to be publicly humiliated, LOL. Split practice will be held based on the number of riders and skill sets, and all motos will be timed to allow for the maximum amount of ride time for everyone. NO QUADS ALLOWED FOR THE EVENT. Come meet Brian and Valerie Wilson (owners of TT), and put a face with all of the TT members you talk to frequently on the forums. We also hope to get some TT sponsors to come to the event as well with booths about their products. Event and Venue details include: -- Full Race Prep, water, rip, lights, etc... and water during the event... -- Snack Bar onsite -- Free camping overnight Friday night - by request with two weeks notice of the event -- Free camping overnight Saturday night -- No camp fires of any kind or coal fires. -- Gates open 5 p.m. -- Riding starts at 6 p.m. -- Event ends at 12 midnight -- Track closed during the event for the prize raffle, most likely broken into two sessions. -- All tracks open until sunset, only main track open after sunset. -- Tracks include: main, vet, pee wee, and sx -- Pit bikes and other small vehicles are not permitted in the pits. -- Onsite medic from 6 p.m. to midnight. Entry fee for the event will be $25 if payment is received via PayPal by August 8th. Entry fee after August 8th and at the gate will be $30. Please feel free to contribute more than the asked amount if you'd like to contribute to the prizes purchased for the raffle. Sign up early to reserve your spot at this excellent event. Please submit payment via PayPal to armourbl@yahoo.com Be sure to include your first and lastname, TT username, mailing address, and the names of anyone you may be paying for in the comments of the PayPal transaction. This information will be needed to track prepay entries at the gate. It will also be used to track names and ticket numbers for the raffle. Last year's event was a huge success bringing in about 65 riders and 150 spectators. If you attended last year then you already know that no rider left empty handed, and most ended up with prizes worth more than their entry fee. We had tremendous support from TT and TT sponsors making it possible for us to hold two rounds of prize raffles. We anticipate this year to be even better! Check back on this thread for frequent updates, as well as a list of sponsors who will be supporting the event. Chris Hills = Chills and Ben Armour = armourbl are organizing the event. Please PM or email either of us if you have any questions, concerns, or would like to become one of the sponsors. armourbl email = armourbl@yahoo.com Chills email = headshothills@yahoo.com Ben Armour TT Moderator Arizona TT Day Organizer
