Anyone around the Wichita area own a 400/450/520/525 EXC they'd like to talk about? I'm looking at buying one of these and could use some advice. Also, if someone would be kind enough, maybe allow me to take a short ride?? It may be asking a lot from someone you don't know. I just can't figure out which one I want, or should I just go with the LC4-e? It would be nice to actually be able to experience one to help me decide. Thought I'd take a shot in the dark. Thanks! Tye

    43mm or 50mm forks?

Ok, so I've done A LOT of searching through several sites, but can't find any posts on the characteristic differences between the 43mm inverted and 50mm conventionals. I'm looking at buying a 2000 640 LC4-e with the 50mm WP Extremes. I am in the dirt as much as possible, but have some pavement mixed in. I'd say about 80% dirt, made up of 50% trail and the rest country roads. I like to ride it like a dirt bike when possible, not a touring junkie. I'm looking for answers on how the 50mm forks are going to feel, compared to the 43mm's (I've riden the 43's). What are the advantages, and disadvantages, of both? Which ones do you think I would like better, with the description above? I'm looking at a 2000 with the 50mm WP Extremes, but it's 12 hours away, and want to make sure before I make the treck down to get it. Thanks! Tye
