  1. I've got a 2010 yz250f and want to put a 269 kit in it. I'm looking at getting the cylinder works kit. The only concern I have is that the vertex piston in the kit is only a two ring piston instead of a three ring. I'm afraid that it won't last as long as a three. Does anyone have any input about this? Anyone have problems with the kit?
  2. I have the mounts pretty tight (used a screwdriver) I just dont wanna break something from overtightening it.
  3. Has anyone mounted their gopros on their bikes. I tried mine on the front fender and had it pointed back towards me for a different view. I think it looks pretty cool for an edited video, but I can't get it to stay in position. Everytime I hit a really hard bump it moves a little. I've seen pics of other people with the same idea, but not sure how they mounted it. Heres a pic from that view. Any ideas help. Thanks.
  4. Just got my md80 and lense in the mail today. Messed with it a little bit today and am pretty happy with what I got for $20. Now I'm figuring out a way to mount it and thought I would show you what I came up with. I kinda got the idea from people on here and altered it a little bit so here it is. I took the bigger mount and heated the plastic until I could conform it to the shape of my helmet.(once it cooled down it is just as strong). I'm going to mount it with some strong velcro underneath my visor on the helmet shell. Heres a couple pics. Was also wondering if the jelly lense will stay in place or if you glued it on better? Let me know what you think.
  5. Hey I've got some tech 10's and the piece in the rear of the boot that slides up and down broke all the way across. Was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if there is any way to do a temperary fix. I know I need new boots, but need to wait till I've got a little more cash. If you've got any ideas let me know. Thanks.

    i've had the carb off a couple times and cleaned it good. Blew all the passages out, blew out the jets, I know theyre not clogged. The people told me it was running fine and just started to happed which is making me think it could be electrical. I just dont know what to look for in the electronics.

    Hey guys I could really use some help with this one. I'm workin on this Z400 and can't get it to run right. Has a hard time starting and when it finally does it spits and sputters like crazy and dies. Sometimes the idle will pick up and rev kinda high. Don't have any idea what it is. Heres what I have done- -Cleaned carb real good(multiple times) -Checked/adjusted valves -checked timing -checked gas/gas flow/in-line filter/petcock filter -unplugged/plugged back in electronics Like I said it will start and u can push the throttle and make it rev up but it just sputters really bad and then has a hard time idling. If anybodys got any ideas i would really appreciate it. Thanks.
  9. what input does the tps have on the ignition system? could it make the bike hit the rev limiter if its not adjusted right?
  10. tried unplugging the kilswitch, its okay. Took the stator out, ohm tests okay, can't see anything wrong with it, no metal debris.

  12. I've tried a couple new plugs, how do I unground the killswitch?
  13. I use Bridgestone M404 and I ride the track. Love the tire. Dunlops seem to wear out pretty quick.

  15. Okay, I was riding my bike(06 YZ250F) and out of nowhere starts running like crap. It feels like its hitting the rev limiter when you barely crack the throttle. I've been looking up posts here and still can't figure it out. I've cleaned the carb all out, ohm tested everything, ran it without the neutral switch and the TPS, changed out the CDI, checked timing. I'm just losing my mind now and don't know what to do. I could really use some help on this, any advice is very appreciated.
