  1. putting in a new set of front wheel bearing for my 08 crf450r. anyone have a step by step procedure or tricks of the trade? thx much!
  2. Hi John, got a few questions for you... i race desert and my suspension guy moved away. we put in race tech springs for my weight and gold valves forks and shock. with the clickers right in the middle, i enjoy my bike on the moto track, but in the desert, i keep tinkering with clicker adjustments and just can't find the right combo. any suggestions, my normal line of thinking is go stiff( faster) on the compression and mushy (slower) on the rebound. i have a buddy who does just the opposite for desert, he speeds up the rebound and slows down the compression. what r your thoughts?

  4. looking for a quieter pipe, but don't want to lose any power. any suggestions? the stock pipe is really loud.
  5. just drained the tranny oil on my new 08 and it was tan in color. after having an 03 crf, i was expecting red 85wt tranny oil to come out. because it was tan and looked like normal motor oil, i imediately opened up my manual and to my surprise, they have changed the specs and are calling for 10-30wt motor oil. my question is, what are you guys using and what have you found to be the best product to protect the functions of the tranny and enhance the tranny's performance? i didn't have any 10-30wt on hand before my ride yesterday, so i put in maxima tranny 80wt oil and i totally noticed, it seemed tougher to shift, obviously because of the thicker oil. thx guys!
  6. my buddy told me to pull my exhaust pipe and pull out the inner workings of the pipe to get a little more power. i unbolted the 4 screws of the end cap, i pulled the cap and screen cylinder out of the muffler. then unscrewed the hex bolt on the bottom side, but i can't seem to separate anything else? any ideas? thx
  7. thx man, i actually think that is exactly what is wrong. off to tear it apart, again. hey it justs means i'm one step closer to getting it running again.
  8. ah, frustrated. a few weeks ago, i started a thread : 'can't start my yammie. the response was great and we were all lead to believe it was an auto decomp failure. he is the most recent chain of events. thanks for your help again do you know of any trends on the 06 yz450f that the auto decomp mechanism is failing. my bike never had a problem starting, then bamm, one day no start, super tough to kick the kick starter. i did a valve adjustment, cleaned and oiled all the parts, the auto decomp on the camshaft seemed to be working fine. put the bike back together and whamm, she fired right up. fast forward, went to go riding the next day, fired up to warm it up, rolled on the throttle a few times and then killed the motor. got my goggles to go ride and bamm, the kickstarter was super difficult again and she won't start again. same repeat problem. i'm really not certain what i fixed the during my valve adjustment? any ideas thanks dave 702 682 5991:banghead:
