  1. my son has a kx80 - based on engine numbers we thought it to be an 87 (serial number tag not on the bike ;-( ) In looking at pictures of kx's I believe we have an 85. My problem - the rear drum brake has a thin aluminum arm that goes from the frame (up under the engine) back to an arm hanging down off of the brake assembly. Its got some "unusual" contours (bends!) in it - worse so since we dumped it today. Now that arm binds as the suspension moves up and down. The big question - does anyone have one of these that might be able to tell me the arm is supposed to be straight - or perhaps it must match the contour of the rear swing arm? A link to a good picture would be worth a thousand words. I found this link on google - http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.sadirtbikes.com/images/20050906_4_kx80_1985_m.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.sadirtbikes.com/used_bikes/20050906_kx80_1985.html&h=225&w=300&sz=37&tbnid=7ckooP9FooibpM:&tbnh=83&tbnw=111&hl=en&start=18&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dkx80%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG which looks like our bike - I need a pic of the underside of that arm below the swing arm to see if its straight or not. Any one out there that can help????? Thanks!
