  1. I have a 1978 Yamaha tt 500 and was wondering if it would be possible to put a dual sport kit on it and make it street legal. The Bike was my dads before and my brother had hooked up a front head light at one time that would work when the bike was running. I have thought about putting a head light, tail/break light and blinkers. does anyone know if the bike will produce enough power off the magneto to run the lights. Also I looked at a site that had exploded views of the parts and it looked like the magneto for the 78 XT 500 was the same but not totally sure. Any help that anyone could give me would be helpful.
