  1. Yeah I was referring to overheating due to the less restrictive pipe. Alot of guys on the xr forum say leaky headers or bad jetting will smoke those motors.
  2. In order to simplify ill make this short. I have an XR650L theoretically if the exhaust were wide open could I adjust the mixture well enough to stop overheating on this air cooled machine?

  4. shouldnt seize unless the oil stops aflowin................. if it measures up at stock go with it.

  7. use a left hand drill twist bit then heli coil it. make sure you can find a helicoil tap thats long enuff first

  10. I assume u have an r (kickstart) pull the plug out and kick it if it is fine something is up with the decomp system u use standard or metric feelers
  11. his two stroke 250 mx will out drag my L. What do you think. My bike is uncorked r sprockets exhaust.

  13. thats why asked about oil flow. starter restriction could be cause of friction
  14. is it an l or r how many miles on the motor do you prime the oil system before you ride has it ever been starved of oil shouldnt have skipped teeth unless very worn or piss poor maint. if it skipps teeth i would find out why first
