Ok, I' upped my budget and im chasing a 2009 pro 280 econo model. I think this one is gonna go. Getting excited. Hey, if you are in the reno Tahoe area and just getting started on trials we should get together so we can laugh at how much bad we are. I'm hoping to have a bike in my garage within a week

Hey all, I've been searching high and low for a trials bike for around 2k. I have a line on a gas gas txt pro 125. Now I weigh almost 200lbs fully geared up. I know it's not ideal but is this ok for a beginner bike? I also see that there is a 225 kit available so maybe I can just upgrade it in a year? I would rather have a 250 but they are few n far between for that price. Thoughts? Thanks!

    Heated grip instal help

Thanks for the replies. Now all I need are my bars to show up
  6. As the title says I seem to be having a hard time getting enough hookup on small loose rocks.. More so than I would expect anyway. Also in this type of terrain the front end likes to wander a bit. My sag is at 115 (ktm xcw300 with pds). Do i need quicker rebound?

4cs forks - how each component works

I figured as much.. How about mid valve vs base valve. Anyone care to tackle that one? By the way Adam, Congrats on Your Berg article. I'm sure ill end up sending my stuff to you at some point. I just want to see how far I can get by myself and learn something in the process.

Linkage vs PDS (XC vs XC-w) who has switched and ?

Hmmmm, is that the accord sedan or the coupe?

My 2014 pds xcw300 handles the whoops better then my 2005 crf450x. For technical terrain I can't tell the difference. Unless you like to ride really fast I doubt you will hate on the pds
  11. I've got a set of symtechs on the way and need to figure out what to do for grips. I will be installing these on a new set of twisted engineering bars. I'm wondering if lock on grips work? Or maybe I can reuse my existing grips? They are on my ktm xcw300 and only have a few hours on them. Anyone know if ktm glues their grips on? Lastly, are people running an inline fuse? It doesn't appear to come with the kit so thinking of adding one. Wondering what size fuse and quick or slo blow.

The kind that typically gets ignored

4cs forks - how each component works

I have been on ktm talk and have spoken with kreft. Adam has sent me the springs he recommended and gave me a quote for a full setup. I think the main problem with having it done at this point (for me) is that I don't know enough to know what to ask for. But more than that I just want to learn for the fun of it. I realize the request is a tall order but maybe I'll at least pick up some bits. The diy kit is not a bad idea. Ill look into that for sure. I'll be pulling my forks apart next week to put the new springs in.

Those are helpfull. I'll be changing my springs this weekend so much appreciated. Not really the kind of knowledge I'm looking for in this thread though.
