Trail Tech Vapor Stealth Computer Kit Reviews

Installed on my 09 WR450, I have to say this computer beats the stock one by a long shot. They make it really easy to install, and easy to get proper readings for MPH with adjustable wheel size.

Installation was very simple, and the directions were very well written to leave guess work out. Only thing is make sure the hole for speedo sensor is right before you drill the hole, test by holding and spinning the wheel.

All the features it has is awesome, way more features than stock and it gives more info about the bike (ex. coolant temp).

I've heard of people having issues with RPM readings, seems to be most common on the install where you wrap the copper wire from the computer around the plug wire, I can see this not reading properly. Worked good on mine because I have an electrical connector instead of a plug wire, hooking directly up to the pin in it. Very accurate reading and it's impossible for the wire to come loose or move at all.

I had to do some minor fabrication to make a mount to bolt to stock location, and used some spacers to raise it up higher aswell.

This Trail Tech Vapor is a great addition to my MX bike since it tells me everything I need to know about how fast I'm going, my RPM's, engine temperature and hours. Only problem is that it is extremely complicated to install on an MX bike (especially mine). You have to really be into mechanics to understand what to do. The instructions have it's own jargon to me and I practically have no idea what it is talking about. Other than that, it's a very great thing to add to your bike as it tells you very good info of what is going on inside your bike, as well as outside!
