Smooth Industries is a company that makes a variety of motocross related consumer products to show off your love for the sport. They've been around since 1995 and is run by legitimate motocross fans that seem to have a good handle on what riders like. They offer everything from baby clothes to cookie cutters, home decor, sweatshirts, and all sorts of track-side accessories. I was recently given the opportunity to check out a few of their products and the timing was excellent; having my first kid on the way (boy).  ?

RX Sunshade

The first product that I received was a RacerX branded car/truck sunshade. They feature a two piece, pop-up design with an elastic band to help keep them folded up when you stow them away.  In terms of aesthetics, one side has some 450's putting the power down while the other features the RacerX and Smooth Industries logo. Smooth lists them as blocking 99% of damaging UV rays with each panel measuring 25"X28". I tested out this sunshade in my Toyota Hi-Lux pickup and it fit just right, staying in place with some help from the folded down visors. With the shade in place all afternoon, when I got in my truck to run some errands, it was at a much more pleasant temperature than otherwise.

It looks good installed and I think it might even add horsepower? I'll have to get back to you on that!  ?

Gaerne Boot Can Coolers

The next product in my Smooth Industries care package was a pair of neoprene beverage coolers that look like the popular Gaerne SG12 MX boots. I set a can of soda in one and left it for about an hour. When i came back, it was still cold. Mission accomplished! With the right sized can or bottle, the can coolers stand up straight and aren't too tippy. It would seem they are as effective as they are adorable.

Baby Rompers

The last two items in the Smooth Industries box were a couple of baby rompers. Some people call them onesies. My first kid is due in a couple of months, so this was my chance to make him the coolest motobaby on the block! I picked out two rompers, the first being pretty funny reading "Can you smell my exhaust?". The second one is being a bit more sophisticated, featuring the vintage Honda logo.

Both rompers are 100% cotton and feel like they'll withstand some serious eating, sleeping, and pooping. The printing on each is the same quality that you'd get on a good adult t-shirt and I expect them to hold up to many washing machines cycles.

Bottom-line

From the sample of products that I tried, Smooth Industries offers reasonably priced products of decent quality and probably most importantly, they offer a range of moto related products that are fun and interesting. For many, riding is not just something that they do, but a lifestyle and I think that Smooth Industries meets this need well. If you're looking for fun moto themed stuff for your kids, home, or novelty gifts for your buds, I'd definitely check out what they offer.
