We've got a number of motorcycles and products under test and one of them is our Project Suzuki Marauder 800 build. We rescued this poor beast from the wrecking yard and an abusive owner who left it outside in the rain for a long time, didn't change oil, etc.

That was then, this is now.

We've been pouring love, money, sweat and elbow grease into the bike and one of the products we've recently installed are the Kuryakyn Kinetic Grips. Not only did we like the look, but ours were toast and it was time for some bling on the bars.

The product came in a simple to open package with detailed installation instructions and we were able to get our old grips off and completely install the new Kinetic Grips in about 25 minutes. You will need to give the glue used on the clutch side a few hours to dry, so we left it overnight to cure.

In the morning we fired up the Project Marauder and double-checked the operation of the new components before setting out, and it's critical you do the same when installing any item that has a relationship with the throttle. Although the Kuryakyn instructions are detailed, there is some room for error if you aren't careful.

We found the Kuryakyn Kinetic Grips to be easy to install and trouble-free. The best part is the way they look, badass! With chrome (or black) ribbing they really stand out on our bike.

In terms of comfort, they feel as good as they look...and we like them but haven't put on any huge trips yet. We always wear gloves so looking to put some miles on them and report back to our readers.

One thing we did want to note is that we have a cruiser bike with a large bar diameter (1") and the grips are fairly large as well. This may be an issue for riders with very small hands but note that we wear a medium adult glove and don't find it to be an issue.

In conclusion, these Kuryakyn Kinetic Grips are easy to install, feel good and look great.  They are a great addition to any metric cruiser and won't break the bank at approx. $80 for the set.
