Hasn't blown out. I've had to reuse it on a new piston (please don't do this if possible) with no issues. I don't think it made a big change because I can still use pump fuel with no detonation. It seems to have given me a little more bottom end power, but I put it in with a new piston. I would not tear down my engine just to install this, but I will continue using these unless I get head work done.
