AMSinator January 10 Bought used through Cycle News for 1st Gen 81-83 XR200R in 1985'. 85-86' Raced local Outlaw MX in 125cc 2-smoke class. In 85' got a 2nd @ AMA District 13/29 Region Battle Reidsville, NC at Rolling Hills in 250cc "C" class on this bike with Fox Twin Clicker but using stock Showa Spring. Front end was also 1980 CR250R triple trees and forks. This combo alone allowed for much better jumping for the times, I at least had 12" of travel up front. The quality of the dampening in the rear alone upped the MX game greatly. Somewhere Later 86-87', updated to Progressive Suspension Spring used that set up for many hours of MX, National Forrest Trails, Cross country riding. Length = 13.5" Has compression & rebound adjustments. 5/8" shaft Rebuilt shock about 1997 with actual parts from Fox, when FOX Racing was more than just clothing & they still supported our Industry. Presently off bike for another Inspection overhaul. Looking to rebuild and reinstall hopefully with longer shaft travel , TBD. Share this review Link to review
