Yamaha TTR230 2011 Reviews

This is a really nice bike to learn the basics on and have a lot of fun learning.  It is super easy to ride.  The engine is crisp and powerful.  Transmission is a 6 speed, and the first 3 speeds are low, so this bike has torque on command and will climb if you can hang on.  Bought as a project bike, and glad I did it.  All it needed was cleaning, new tires, new seat and cover, number plates, fenders, battery, graphics... and carb cleaned.  At first, I wanted to do some radical mods to the suspension, and jack it up and make a tight woods bike out of it.  But it was so nice and performed so well as is, I decided to not molest it.  Sold it, but it was a fun bike and project. 

I am working on another TTR230 / YZ250F hybrid project... I'll post it when I'm done....  This is for the people who want more suspension and brakes with this engine package.  It'll be a great build.!!

I like the TTR a lot, its my first bike and was a great one to learn on! Yamaha does make great products!
