I purchased the YZ400F in 1999 from Dr. Stout in Chicago, IL. It was thought to be Dr. D's practice bike. He invested heavily in pro parts to be a YZM clone. Suspension was worked by Team Yamaha's internals team. absolutely the best forks on the planet! The list of mods is long: YZ426f top end(Flint at Pro Motorsports), New 4 speed transmission, E-Series Carbon Pro pipe, Quickshot carb pump, Protaper throttle tube, Protaper fat bars, FMF 909 triple clamp, Devol Radiator covers, Talon Gold Series hubs, Excel rims, bulldog spokes, Dunlop Geomax, Carbon Fiber chain guide, IMS Oversized Foot pegs, White Brothers titanium sub frame, New controls - shifter, brake lever,

Rear Brake factory small reservoir - not the stock plastic block, and SDG tall seat. This bike rips and at 25 years of age is eligible for the Vintage racing GP 4-5 Open Class with Bikes 1985-1999 Disc brakes are allowed.
