I absolutely love this bike....when it's running. It's way too fast, cant turn for crap, too heavy, too twitchy, and is a moose to handle on trails, and will not start without aprox 537 kicks. This bike is totally and utterly ridiculous and that's why I love it! Riding on gravel roads, I blew my brother's doors off when he was on the 4wheeler and his speedometer was reading 58 mph at the time. I didn't think I was going anywhere near that fast but I was doing at least 20 mph faster than he was. The power is always on tap and it WILL RIP the front wheel off the ground in any gear you want. Once you do learn to corner with it, coming out of those corners is an absolute blast! Just as long as you don't give it too much and end up butt first in the mud. But all of that's a mute point if ya can't get it started ?

I absolutely love my 426 I have a certain soft spot for it. It can be a bit temperamental at times and yes these bikes do tend to run hot so it is important to have good radiators and good coolant. Keep up with regular maintenance and you'll have an awesome bike for many years to come. As long as everything is in good shape these bikes have a ton of power, diffidently can scare me time to time!

I set up the suspension and the carb perfectly on this bike. It rips. Starts easily and builds your confidense the longer you ride it.  Two of my friends similar size and build made offers to buy it off of me. I have since purchased an 08 WR450f for the E start but still prefer the YZ. Have owned it for over 10 years and the only downfall is overheating the radiators on slow 1st gear single track trails. Pair of Flowdyne Radiators and a WR overflow tank would probably solve that.
