KTM 500 EXC 2014 Reviews

I ride single track woods, long distance dual sport rides. I also camp off of the bike. This unit has lived up to all of my expectations. So far a very dependable fun bike to ride. Corbin seat, total control suspension, 2 rear wheels for quick & easy swap depending what style of riding I'm doing that day. Gearing 13/52 made low speed riding more manageable. Acerbis, fuel tank and skid plate. I got this bike for a steal. My buddy bought it new and sank several thousands of dollars on farkles and it was to much bike for him. Paid 5k for the machine. Previous dual sport was a 1997 Honda XR650L that I owned and rode the wheels off of for 20 yrs. What a major difference. Over 100lbs in wieght difference,  the suspension, tbi, zero comparison. I must say my XR required alot less maintenance but I enjoy turning wrenches and keeping up on maintenance so this is no big deal to me. The only issue I have had to address is the pds heim joint being worn down by the mud guard. Jeff Slavens has an easy dependable, inexpensive fix on his site "slavensracing.com"
