I live in Australia and pre-ordered the BETA 300RR 2015. Ive been into 4 strokes for the past years and was looking forward to moving back to the 2 Strokes after reading about the 300 Smokers around now.

I was looking for a bike which is suited for trail and enduro riding, light, manoeuvrable and powerful.Did the Beta tick all the boxes? YES.

It arrived at my door pretty much ready to go. First look - The colour just blew me away, the pictures on the internet don't do it justice. Its almost a reddy pink, put it this way, it stands out from the crowd and looks awesome. I popped in about 8 litres of fuel, did basic checks. Time to start the bike. First press of the electric start she sprang into life. When I first sat on the bike, it felt tight and light, exactly the feel I was after. I did some heat and cool cycles, then I broke it in for about 15 litres of fuel on dirt and road. It felt so easy to ride.

Next day me and a few mates decided to go up into the hills for a ride, which are pretty extreme tracks. I had only done a few hours on the Beta but I didn't hesitate as I felt I had been riding it for years. Standing up on the bike when doing tough trails, it really allows you to dig you knees into the tank, it felt so manoeuvrable and easy to control no matter how rough the terrain.

I found the Power delivery is smooth and instant. The tighter the trails better, you point it, it will go there. The bike is easy to short shift and keep it on song. The braking is exceptional, I was surprised at how quick I could pull up even on the real loose stuff the braking power was awesome. Cornering again is exceptional. The suspension felt great over rough terrain and jumps, I just need to adjust the sag for my weight.  The bike has minimal Vibration like the KTM 300 I tested.

The standard tyres perform well in all conditions, they are a bit to soft for the areas we ride. There is nothing extra to spend on this bike, tune your suspension and that's it, which needs to be done on most dirt bikes anyway.  I did purchase some bike protection parts due to where we ride.

1. Radiator Guards.

2. Pipe Guard.

3. Barkbusters.

4. Aluminum Bash Plate.

5. Disc Guard.

The build quality is definitely there.  I have done a total of 15 hours on the Beta now, all in all, I am very impressed with this bike, I am thinking of selling my other bikes as I only want to ride the Beta.

First Ride with a TM300 and Gas Gas300.

Electric start that works always. Never kick the bike. Bike doesn't overheat even on the slowest no air flow trails. Alot of lug and chug power which makes good traction. Suspension is very comfortable because it soaks up all trail trash effectively.

I told my wife I was buying a bike with everything I wanted on it when it's new, so I ordered this on Beta's BYOB at $12,000 total, in July '14 and received it Sept '14, a great deal for what's in the bike, I was surprised she was good with that.  The bike has been reliable and has me riding faster than ever.

Only had the bike for just over a week, but loving it so far. Good grunt off the bottom and pulls as much as I can handle.
