Was a complete handful when bought. Too much bike for aging rider. Mods fixed everything, fantastic now.

Only done 2 rebuilds, still runs like a charm. Bike literally makes the most difficult courses just easy. An easy advantage over other riders.
  9. Hello, I have been trail riding for about two years now on a CRF250F and am looking to upgrade. I have been looking at enduro bikes from all of the major brands. I mainly plan on doing desert riding with some mountain riding and the occasional track ride (I have been to the track only a few times and it is something I enjoy but do not see myself getting particularly into). Given my budget, I can buy a new Honda/Yamaha 250 trail bike (CRF250RX or YZ250FX) or a newish (maybe 2016+) Austrian bike (KTM 350 XC-F or Husky FX-350). I'm worried that if I buy a used bike I could get stuck with something that could have a bad parts and cost me a lot more time and money. What are your experiences with buying used bikes? Is getting an Austrian 350 worth risking a used bike? Thank you.

The KTM 350 XC-F merges an aggressive motocross personality, with a refined and forgiving chassis setup. That results in a machine that feels like a 250 but kicks up dust like a 450 - with the handling characteristics of an out-and-out racer. In short, it's one of the most complete offroad weapons in the KTM arsenal. Taking lesson learned from Tony Cairoli's dominating career aboard the 350 SX-F, and insights from top 350 EXC-F enduro riders, we created the KTM 350 XC-F. Sharing the same aggressive motocross personality but with a refined chassis setup, state-of-the-art motor internals and EMS, the 350 XC-F, like Tony, is a flat-out, offroad-ripping legend! Tons of power with plenty of torque since i swapped out the spockets to a 13/50 setup. Awesome brakes, great hydraulic clutch and suspension is dialed in with the proper spring rate(#45) for my weight along with setting the sag to 105mm, works connection rear axle blocks and most importantly my tires for where my son and i ride( Michelin starcross5 soft compound). Lastly, going to the factory chassis performance titanium engine mounts&bolts.

Bike has tons of power, just wish it didn’t have so many finicky issues. Nothing too major just not perfect.

  17. I have a 2018 ktm 350 XC-f with just over 100 hours on it. I took my bike out a week ago after sitting for about 2 months after the end of the ice riding season. I rode single track only and put about 3.5 hours on with no issues at all. loaded up and went home, when I got home my bike wouldn't start. It would turn over just fine, but the cluster next to the kill switch was not lighting up and neither was the fuel pump, it has good spark and the plug was dry, I'd assume no fuel. I checked literally every connection on the bike and all the fuses. Nothing made a difference or seemed wrong. Couldn't find any other articles about this problem anywhere...

This unique bike supplies the power and performance of a 450 combined with the handling of a 250. For 2013, the 350 XC-F engine has been scrutinized for power and performance, a completely new chassis and new bodywork for a new generation of XC. This will probably be our last KTM for the season. Did we save the best for last? The 350XC-f is certainly the lightest and fastest of the off road 350’s, so the case for it is look very strong. For 2013 the XC-f and SX-f got complete makeovers. The motor received the most attention. Inside it has a new lighter piston, rod and crank. There is a new throttle body for the fuel injection as well as revised mapping. The new motor boasts a whopping 13,400rpm redline! The kick starter has been removed. The new cases don’t even have a location for one. The cylinder head has been beefed up to handle the higher rpms. The valve heads, seats and springs are all strengthened to handle the increased load. The throttle body size increases to 44mm and has a new design injector. The TPS is better protected from potential damage. Like all 2013 models, new fuel lines have a quick disconnect to allow easy access to the inline filter.
