Do any of you know if the tank, seat and shrouds from the 2005+ XR400M's fit onto the '96-2004 xr400r's. I really like the updated look, and if they fit, i'd like to try to get the parts sent to the states. Thanks!

HI all happy new year first off i have been tasked with an amazing job , i am a civil engineer and i have been ask to design a motocross track . my concerns are guidelines for jumps, - is there a safety factor for the angle to the hight ratio? also the best ratio of soils to have great traction, drainage and durability. is river silt a good contender for this.

HI All! I've been asked to travel to Australia in a few weeks, and plan to spend a couple of extra days in either Sydney or Melbourne. Scuba diving is my second choice, but I would love to spend a couple of days riding if possible. As an avid trail rider, and not afraid of sand/wet/hills/rocks/or most anything, is one area better than the other? I have found a couple of outfitters online for bike rental, but hope someone can recommend a reputable company, and direct me to a specific area so I can narrow down my options. Thanks for any help making this happen!

Black Duck is open again in Qld, how good is that. I have been out 3 times now and te place is as good as ever, didn't realise how much fun the place was. Might catch you out there one day. Hi all First post on the forums, and need help already ! Im new to TT , Just purchased an 06 Sherco 450 and trying to rig it for registration in Australia. Having trouble with the electrics . there was no switch block or any indicators . I've purchased the original switch block and indicators, All good for plugging in , But indicators are not working ? Cannot find a flasher relay either , ( or where it should go ?) Also the map switch was broken and the wiring cut - I've rpaired the map switch but arent sure where it is supposed to connect ? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks Peter

Hey all, just wondering if there are any regulations on dirtbike carriers in Western Australia? Thinking of making one myself to suit the measurements of my car instead of buying one online which could be hit or miss. How wide can carriers be compared to the vehicle/how much wider than the car can they be? My car is 1700mm wide and my bike is 2010mm long. That should mean around 155mm should be sticking out either side of the car. Is this legal? Cheers -

Hey all, I know there's a thread in the international section already, but I'm more interested in how many Aussie DRZ riders are on here?I'm located on the Gold Coast, QLD :excuseme:Anyway I just bought my first DRZ today, it's a '01 model with the kicker engine. The previous owner has removed all the roadworthy gear including the indicators, speedo unit, brake light etc, even the rear subframe :lol:I've started gathering up some parts for it (indicator switch, trail tech vapor, edge tail light etc) so I can register it eventually. I was hoping there are others local to me so I could have a specific look at what parts I'm missing? Does any body know of any DRZ being parted out (for the subframe)? There's some on ebay US but postage is a killer.Would be great to catch up with any other aussies on the site 😏

anyone annoyed with our helmet laws and standards? i'm politically apathetic like most aussies but recently a mate got a brain injury and did some research on getting a better helmet for him when he starts riding again. the laws and standards are a mess. i kept digging further, spoke heaps with helmet experts and specialists. the end result was an article in national brain injury magazine and and an online petition to prod the politicians into some action. the petition is below if you want to have a look: PETITION - UNIFORM NATIONAL STANDARDS FOR MOTORBIKE HELMETS in a nutshell, there's a mess of state laws that don't agree with the national standard. result?: - in some cases you can cross State boundaries and your helmet becomes illegal - in some States invalid trademarks are specified but no longer available, so technically you can't buy a legal helmet at all - the complexity for certification deters many helmet manufacturers from bothering with the small Australian market - resolving the contradictions and redundancy of the State regs needs to happen before reforms at the national level can be effective. have a read and sign away if you think it's a good idea. and pass it on to your mates. a handful of people have been trying to prod the politicians into action for years now, i reckon a few hundred thousand signatures could make a difference! -
For some reason, someone has seen fit to steal my bike 😏 It's a pretty heavily modded XR650R, so keep an eye out: Stolen in the ACT, but could turn up anywhere I suppose. Red Safari tank 24l - the brace is home made Scotts dampener + BRP triples w. risers Ballards rack has 2 different sets of mounting holes in it Front wheel has a bent rim approximately where the rim lock is Vapor speedo - homemade mounting bracket. Staintune pipe (I still have the end bit) I'd much prefer to get it back over setting up a new bike - to the extent that a reward is offered, should I receive it or information related to it. we popped down to queensland moto park at wyaralong recently and did a video of the place in case any qld riders were thinking of going there. the trails are pretty rocky and dusty if it hasn't rained. but the mx tracks were pretty cool. they have a kids track which is handy since you can't take your kids riding legally in any of the state forests around here.

Hello all! The Laurie Boulter Solo & Hec Henderson Sidecar Collingrove Hillclimb is on again this year. This year it's on the 17th of March, 2013 at the infamous Collingrove Hillclimb track. Last year it was an awesome event with everyone setting a cracking pace up the hill and it made for great riding and brilliant spectating. All disciplines are encouraged to enter: Motorcycles (modern, classic, supermoto), Sidecars and Quads. It will again incorporate the first round of the South Australia Supermoto Race Series with points on offer for each run up the hill to those entered in the series. Just wanted to ask if anyone could show me where I could go riding with my Son, He has a PW50 and we live in town (Coffs Harbour) I know there is lots of riding spots around but not sure exactly where would be safe & ideal for my son who is a learner on his PW50, Some nice flat grassy paddock would be nice rather than hilly rough terrain, My son has completed his Kickstart course at the local MX/Flat track but we need more riding opportunities to get him started and get his racing license If anyone knows where could you please PM or post links to google map pages or directions will do Thanks
