  1. Hi all, I'm about to do a full rebuild on my CR125 after endless issues, Anyway could anyone tell me if manufactures ( Wiseco, Vertex and so on ) sell a full engine rebuild kit with everything needed? (I'm in UK) Also I am after a few replacement parts I,E carburettor boot that mounts between the carb and reed block. Mine has perished over time but Honda no longer sell this part so i'm a little stuck! Thanks Luke
  2. I have a 2007 cr125 that I just blew the piston up on. I had been riding it pretty consistently for a couple months without any problems and it seemed to go out of nowhere. And when I took it apart i found that the piston was installed the wrong direction, so the ring caught on the exhaust port and ripped it up pretty good. What I'm wondering is if I need to do the bottom end on my bike. The piston is pretty thrashed, but only on the top 1/4. There was a good amount of piston bits in my expansion chamber. There are some small specks of aluminum in the crankcase, and a couple small pieces on my drain plug magnet, after running some more transmission oil through it no more metal shows up on the magnet. My crankarm doesn't have any up/down play and the side to side is in spec and everything moves smoothly. I am getting the cylinder bored out and a new head. Am I going to be alright throwing a new top end on, or do I need to split the cases and clean out and redo the bottom?
  3. I have a 1999 new to me CR125R and the center fuel tank threaded insert has come out. Anyone have a suggestion for a good adhesive to re-bond the insert?
  4. Can anyone help me find the correct o rings for this head cylinder ?
  5. So I’m looking to rebuild my rear shock on my 1997 cr125. It’s clapped and has been for a while and this winter I’m going to give her a new top end and rebuild the forks and shock. She needs a few helicoils as well. But back to my problem, I can’t seem to find a rear shock rebuild kit for a 97 cr125. Any other years compatible? I’ve already bought new seals for the front which are readily available, but can’t find the shock! Any help is much appreciated fellas!!
  6. Yo! Will this kit fit a 1990 cr125? cheers
  7. Hi people! (cr 125 1990) The other day I posted about how the transmission bearing in the Right main casing was slipping on the outer race. The bearing goes in and out by finger. Load of people replied and we went with The idea of using a special lock tight. now I have got to the LEFT casings... the transmission bearing (main shaft, Other side) has the same issue, It goes in and out very easy. But more concerning is the small what almost looks like bits of metal welded on the surface of where the bearing would sit. Half of that flat surface is now well not perfect I suppose. I can see the bearing sits in there well but maybe not perfect it’s hard to say. can this be fixed in the same way? With lock tight... the bearings appears to sit flush still, fraction tolerances ect is what I’m worried about. Any advice would be great! I am going to see a bike engineer later with the casings to have them vapour blasted so a chat with him will probably help! cheers all
  8. My nephew has a 125 that the top end was rebuilt couple years ago. Cylinder was sent out through the honda dealer so I don't know who plated it but they did. So it had a new cylinder and honda piston. He's single tracked the bike probably 15-20 hours. We were replacing the crank seals last week and I decided the slip the top end off and measure. Compression has always seemed week to me but it always started easy. It has fouled spark plugs every 2-6 miles on every loop I've ever been on with him. I rejetted it, replaced the little gasket on the Mikuni, JD jetted it, tried different oils, and nothing has fixed it. That is why I was into the crank seal as it always looked oil fouled and not fuel fouled. It looked fine. Eric Gorr recommended a new coil so my brother in law bought a new honda coil. We'll find out if either of these help. Back to my question. I measured the cylinder bore with a bore guage. It has no taper or out of round. Looks perfect. The piston was nicely polished. I could slide a .005" feeler gauge between the cylinder and piston. My measurement verified .005" clearance also. Factory manual show the #s 1. Cylinder 2.150-2.1253" with a service limit of 2.1265" 2. His cylinder measures 2.127" with a bore gauge. Not calipers or telescoping gauges. 3. His cylinder looks new. Since it has zero taper that means it was bored to this diameter when it was replated. Is this close enough? 4. Piston specs. 2.1233-2.1236" with service limit 2.1214" His old piston measured 2.122" and the new one measured 2.123" so the new piston is only taking up .001 of the .005" clearance we had. We still have .004" clearance when the book shows .0014"-.002" with .003" service limit. Is this extra .002" clearance to much? I don't know if the tolerances are as critical as they make them out to be. We did a compression check last night after we put it together and it was 140 wit 5 or 6 kicks until it quite moving. Only thing I forgot was to open the throttle wide open. For the old cars I work on this doesn't make any difference. Might on the bike. Just curious what your thoughts are.
  9. I purchased a 2002 CR125 and while taking it apart I noticed this. Is this a common issue? Any suggestions? Someone tried to JB weld it lol
  10. Anyone have one of these they would part with please? SHAFT, FLAP VALVE 14211-KSR-730 Paer number 8 in the diagram. 2005-2007 CR125R Thanks
  11. Looking to upgrade the suspension, forks and rear shock. Used for motocross racing weekly-monthly depending on things, with some arena cross style riding occasionally. Forks sit a little low in the stroke compared to the 250’s and 450’s I’ve ridden. Even the rm85 sits higher in the stroke. Doesn’t ride weird, just feels odd sitting low. Id like to finish the frame down rebuild with the best options for my needs. I’ve rebuilt the suspension and forks and they feel fine, but I think suspension tech has advanced a bit since 2001. Is there some compatible forks or shocks off another year that are killer ? Or is this setup good but I should send it off for gold valves/etc at pro circuit or where ever. thank you
  12. I'm a new owner of a 96 CR125 who has been religiously pouring over the 92-97 service manual. While most everything I've come across in the service manual has jived with the few maintenance items I've had to do (with the biggest job so far being the fork bushings/seals), there are a couple of things I have noticed that do not. For example, the chain slack in the service manual says 35 - 40 mm, while the sticker on the swing arm (yes, it's still intact!) says 50 mm. I assume the owner's manual for this year bike says the same, but I haven't been able to track one down to verify. Also, the service manual says the carb is the PJ15'E' with a no. 58 slow jet, when in fact the 96 is the 'K' version with a no. 50 jet. Again, I wonder if the owner's manual is more specific on the model carb and jet size. Regarding the latter, for those who might care, I did some further research on the carbs and decided to list them all here along with their jet sizes: '92 PJ15E: 58 slow, 172 main '93 PJ15G: 58 slow, 172 main '94 PJ15H: 58 slow, 172 main '95 PJ15J: 55 slow, 155 (or 172?) main '96 PJ15K: 50 slow, 155 (or 172?) main '97 PJ15L: 50 slow, 155 (or 172?) main All of this to ask, has anyone who has both the service manual and owner's manual for their year bike come across any other discrepancies between the two that makes you second guess the service manual? One thing I was wondering about specifically is the float level. The 92 - 97 service manual says 16 mm, but I'd be curious to know what any of the owners manuals after '92 say.
  13. My 2002 cr125 came with a 2mm big bore and trimmed power flaps and trying to go back to stock bore but I can’t see to find power flaps ANYWHERE… Anybody know anywhere to look (I’ve looked on motosport and Rocky Mountain and some other little places) or even anybody out there or here I could buy some from… or can I used the trimmed ones for the big bore? Any help is useful!!
  14. Has anyone else ordered a set of GPI radiators and received a new version with thinner cooling segment? Tanks are the same size as they used to be.
  15. Can anyone help me find a clutch cover for my 1982 Honda cr125r? I can’t find one anywhere. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  17. I have. 2001 cr125 and I can pull the kick starter with my hand it has roughly 100 psi of compression I’ve took the piston out and it looks good and so does the ring and cylinder walls all thag looks good it’s still the stock piston and I also looked at the reeds on one side the reed it slightly up a hair the bottom side is fine can someone pls help me figure out why I have low compression
  18. Has anyone put an IMS tank with restyle kit on a cr125? I want to do it myself but I’m not sure if the rad shrouds will fit nicely with tank.
  19. Hey, I'm looking for the right crankcase for my 2003 cr125, willing to pay the price since I know they are hard to find. Thanks.
  20. Hi, I recently picked up a 1998 cr125. I need a spark arrestor to be trail legal, and I found a turbine core 2 on fmf's website. The problem is that the oldest model they let you select is 2000. Does anyone know if these silencers are the same, or if I need one specifically for a 98???
