  1. I have a 2021 570 I got stuck in mud with low fule. I started winching it out and left it idling and by the time I got out it overheated. I turned it off to let it cool down and it wouldn’t start after that. Sometimes tries to start and idles for a second. Starts with starting fluid and I hear a pump run when I turn on the key. It was at a bar of gas when it overheated and I killed it. Anyone know what it can be?
  2. Hey everyone I am looking for a good video on how to remove and clean a carburetor. we have had our 2007 Can Am DS 650 X for many years and it has ran like a champ for 16 years but is now acting funny. It is very difficult to get started, it bogs down, and won't start at all at elevation. It has sat for a couple of years too and I think the Carb is probably really gummed up. I have never done it before myself so I am looking for a video that will walk me through this. I not sure if this is standard across all bike types and models, or if I need a video specific to my year and model. Any help you can provide I would greatly appreciate thanks.
  3. I thought about getting a can am renegade recently, but then I was told that can am’s are expensive to maintain… I did a little bit of research and found some people saying they are but I have no way of knowing that they are reliable sources. I also have a similar question about Polaris atv’s, are they really as unreliable as people say? Are either of these claims accurate or are they just fanboys taking shots at the rivaling manufacturers?
  4. I have an 08 outlander 500 xt . Two months ago I ordered aluminum valve covers to replace my warped plastic ones. I ordered from CanAmpartsguy.com the latest update is that the backordered covers haven't arrived when expected and they have no idea when they're due. I really don't want to put plastic ones on again so they warp again. Does anyone know where I can find a set of aluminum valve covers?

Powerful engine, smooth suspension, strong brakes. All the usual gen 1 Outlander issues, warped valve covers, overheating, lean afr.

  11. I am working on an 04 John Deere Buck, which is a Bombardier Traxter. Had it in to clean the carb and had it running fine. Turned it off to finish a few things, when I went to start it again it cranked and then stopped. It is hanging up at TDC, I pulled the side cover off and was able to get it to turn over by hand eventually by going back and forth using the crankshaft nut. At first it had a little catch and then loosened up. Put it back together, tried to start it. Turned over a couple times and did it again. Now it won't go past TDC. I am thinking it is probably a bad connecting rod bearing or maybe some carbon in the cylinder was knocked loose. Any ideas? This thing is pretty rough and probably not worth fixing so I want to make sure I am not forgetting something. What's really weird is that it's not make any clunking sounds when it stops. Thanks!

  15. VALCOURT, QUEBEC/CANADA - June 1, 2016 - (Motor Sports Newswire) - BRP (TSX: DOO) introduced today its most complete lineup of Can-Am Off-Road vehicles to date. The 2017 Can-Am ATV and side-by-side lineup features new models with more specialized packages and enhanced performance, along with multiple new entry-level options, further solidifying Can-Am leadership in the industry. “We’ve optimized the 2017 Can-Am Off-Road lineup to benefit both our dealer network and customers,” said Anne Bélec, SVP Global Brand, Communications and PAC at BRP. “This includes introducing more specialized vehicles to the portfolio while at the same time scaling back in some areas. These changes reflect our commitment to expand the Can-Am Off-Road lineup while staying true to our brand DNA, which is grounded in performance and innovation.” 3 new side-by-side models for 2017 First, Can-Am developed in close collaboration with expert hunters, is an all-new Can-Am Defender Mossy Oak Hunting Edition that features a purpose-built, industry-exclusive, hunting-ready package with exclusive Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camo. This new package, along with the 2017 Defender MAX family unveiled in March, gives Can-Am a better footprint in the hunting segment of the industry. Additionally, Can-Am further cements itself as an industry leader in the side-by-side mud segment with an all-new, four-person Can-Am Maverick MAX X mr 1000R side-by-side vehicle built to outperform in even the most demanding settings. Also new as a new point-of-entry into the Maverick lineup in the 60-inch family is the Maverick xc 1000R side-by-side vehicle, which is a DPS-less option offered at a lower price. The 2017 Can-Am ATV lineup Outlander and Outlander L side-by-side models are now unified under the Outlander name, creating one family that offers the most horsepower in the industry in every engine class. With value in mind, the 2017 Outlander 450 ATV includes many Outlander family performance features at a lower price point*. Also new are the Outlander XT 570 and Outlander MAX XT 570 models, which are the most equipped mid-size ATVs on the market for the price. Rounding out the changes is a new Outlander 6x6 DPS 650 model as the new point-of-entry price in the 6x6 ATV category. Other notable changes in the Can-Am ATV lineup include the addition of a Can-Am Renegade X mr 570 vehicle, purpose-built for mud, and an Outlander Mossy Oak Hunting Edition 1000R ATV. The Mossy Oak Hunting Edition is the flagship Can-Am ATV for hunters with its superior performance, capability and camouflage design. The Can-Am DS 70 ATV also returns the lineup and is suitable for riders six years of age and older. To bolster Can-Am Off-Road performance in 2017, all-new FOX Podium QS3 shocks come standard on nine Can-Am side-by-side vehicles and four Can-Am ATVs. Additionally, the Maverick Turbo vehicle now shares the successful technologies of its CVT with Quick Response System (QRS) with the new Maverick X mr and new Maverick MAX X mr side-by-side vehicles. All Can-Am Commander and Maverick side-by-side models also come with a new front sway bar for 2017. *Models and prices may vary by region.

I purchased the bike brand new from the dealer ship in 2014 an loved the bike from day one! I had scored the piston an destroyed the valves durning the snow storm this past winter, an thats when I decided to fully build the engine with the best parts since this a race bike to start and also there is no need to go back an do it again anytime soon lol. race piston, crank, race camshafts, injector, and everything else for a race build. i just finished the breakin on the new build and i am going to install the electronic fuel jet programer an get a dyne tune on high octane fuel an pull the power out of this baby.

  18. VALCOURT, QUEBEC/CANADA - May 5, 2016 - (Motor Sports Newswire) - Performance driver and Can-Am ambassador Ken Block, of “Gymkhana” video fame, has lifted the cover off of his modified Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicles. Block and his Hoonigan team have personalized his units to fit his lifestyle, and have taken the first steps in their plan for showcasing the performance capabilities of the Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicles. "Ken Block and his team have produced two stylish Maverick X rs 1000R Turbo side-by-side vehicles. They designed each vehicle with personality, functionality, yet didn't alter the vehicles' design too much from those models currently available in Can-Am dealerships. These photos have instant appeal to performance enthusiasts around the world," said Marc-André, director, Global Marketing, Can-Am Off-Road. Block’s team transformed the 131-horsepower, two-seat Can-Am Maverick X rs 1000R Turbo into a desert-conquering, recreational racer, complete with Lonestar Racing for Can-Am accessories and custom Beard Seats. The Hoonigan “surgeons” also built upon the Can-Am Maverick MAX X rs 1000R Turbo unit’s sporty-and-comfortable four-seat platform by converting it to a family getaway rig and mountain bike hauler. "I'm super stoked on how these two builds turned out," said Block on his Hoonigan Racing Division blog. "Can-Am has such an amazing platform from which to build with these things. The fact that they come turbo from the factory is a huge plus to me, since it means I don't have to mess around with a ton of aftermarket engine stuff to have the speed and power that I want right out of the box. My team did a great job upgrading these though.” The Hoonigan Racing Division started by unveiling the customized Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicle beauty shots taken at the Hoonigan headquarters in Park City, Utah. With gobs of appeal from their head-turning good looks, mods and factory-installed performance, Block couldn’t wait for phase 2, which was the action shoot in the high desert of Utah. “My favorite thing about these Can-Am Off-Road Maverick X rs Turbo UTVs is that they’re pretty much a cross between two of my favorite vehicles: a dirt bike and a rally car,” stated Block, a skilled World Rally Championship racer, X Games medalist and viral video icon. Block and his team have shared the Can-Am build story, stellar images and more exciting info on the custom Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicles on his social media channels and on the Hoonigan Racing Division blog: www.hooniganracing.com/blog/KB-Custom-Can-Am-Maverick-Turbos/

This ATV is awesome It will beat any single cylinder utility ATV out there.
  20. let's face it, dirt bikes have short maintenance span because makers don't know how to do engine right and bike light at the same time. It's 2016 and still that BS with counting hours between the race. I guess we have to wait a bit for good electric dirt bikes (there are actually some already) to replace them and F$#%^ oil companies which are stopping development of good engines since years. I'd love to buy dirt only bike but I refuse maintaining it every few hours. Dual Sport can make it right why dirt bike can't 🤦
